Sure, and lots of kids take visits after committing, but I have to think coming on your visit for this game is a pretty bad sign for SMUt. Kind of a FU to them in a way, or at least could be taken that way.

I would be pretty happy with 9-3 (based on what they said about the games in which we are favored) even if we missed the conference championship game - if we won the bowl game to hit 10 wins.

I think you guys are crazy expecting an easy win. Throw out the bowl game result since that team was kind of in chaos with the sudden coaching change. Btw our bow result wasn’t too hot and we were a focused team. And they do have more depth and talent. We have to hope this coaching staff has the team prepared and players are loose and execute the game plan. Very little margin for error here. Home field advantage is the equalizer/advantage.

I agree with the OP. This is a must win and a dangerous let-down game. So much hype and high expectations make it a must-win game also. A loss to SMUt creates a “same old UNT” narrative that we have to avoid. It would just kill so much momentum, especially regarding media attention and home attendance. A win keeps that rolling and can’t hurt recruiting. #GMG

Kenworthy or Cole is what I see. Maybe not decided yet or will alternate based on situations? I noticed they have JoJo or Jamie King at Jack as starter. Anyone know anything about King? Weren't Linehan and LeMasters walk-ons? I sure hope this great crop of LBs we are signing his year are legit.

I was not impressed with either tackle last year. Mayfield got beat quite a bit in the games I was able to watch.
