I believe that too, but my only question is how they push the reset button when they are still doing interviews about the last game. This is new territory for most of the team.

Honestly, if you watch the press conferences, you don't have to read his articles. It is always 100% obvious what he will feature that week. (Not dogging him for it, but there is a lot of exposition in his questions about the things he wants to write about.)

I also grew up a Horns fan and was at that game in the visiting Athletic Director’s box. I had pretty divided feelings at the beginning of the game due to that lifelong fandom of UT, but the performance of our defense also had me pushing aside any thought of cheering for UT.

I don’t know much about their D, but you are correct that it could be a concern. I know Ark was good at getting their hands up on the three-step throws.

UIW was not a traditional trap game, because of their obvious inability to compete with a D1 team. Liberty, on the other hand, destroyed one of our conference mates. I would say the team is much higher than after Smut and overlooking this team to think about opening conference play against a proven team like LaTech is a real danger. #reset

I someone disagree on your assessment of the improvement of the LBs. I think the biggest reason for the D’s improvement has been the Dline play, freeing up the LBs to roam and make plays. For sure Gardner has stepped up his game and that has been a big reason also, but the DL has not only commanded double teams but gotten pressure. The most obvious reason for the DL improvement has been the ability to play Young at DE. He is a lot to handle for opponents anyway but paired with a DT in the middle he has been even better. And then we have Hamilton, who transformed his body in the off season and is all over the place pressuring the QB. This pressure from the DL and LBs has made our DBs better and directly led to a least two INTs against Ark, including the flea flicker.
