the bowls want fans at their games and they know the #9 team of the big12 or sec travels better and is more appealing to media than any sbc school. until the sbc has better name recognition and attendance home and on the road this will not change.

to be fair, opponent should be considered. in that case unt's defense would be last after giving up 49 points to a team that averaged only 17.

unt is 31 points from being 0-8, and 101 points from being 8-0.

unt has scored the most points of any team in the sbc. it has also given up them most points, except for wku. logical reasons only 110 fans showed up on a beautiful fall day to see two lousy teams play. bad opponent, bad home team, halloween, frustration, full moon.

unt was carved out of a neighborhood of declining older homes and has expanded into such slowly. the lack of securing any high quality stores and restaurants nearby has given way to ponchos and sack n save et al. throw in some nearby ragtag apartments and its not exactly a selling point area for mom and dad looking. hippie denton seems to live forever.

and a parent that punishes just to show who is boss is just as wrong.

folks were happy unt was hiring a record winning coach. folks would be happy with td at unt if he was winning same, but he is not. it is all about the winning or losing. this is not a for better or worse relationship that goes on forever.

staying in fouts is not possible because of numerous issues including highway expansion. the locked in figure for the new place is not seats but money financed. how many seats will 78 mil buy? depends on the kind of seats and the perks you want with them. all i am saying is bottom line for seats needs to be 30k then start spending on the perks not other way around.

i dont think coaches can vote for their own team so there should be no unanimous picks.

why did unt build fouts with 20,000 seats in 1952 when it only had 4500 students? old eagle stadium would have been fine for that size school. think more forward.

it will be interesting to see what seating size stadium is presented from unt to the board in the proposal to be built. yes, size does matter when you are at the bottom of the food chain looking to move up someday. more than one win per season would greatly help too!

it must be some new tradition at unt that says football must a doormat every 4 out of 5 years, otherwise something would get changed. a program and fanbase that accepts 4-27 as meaningful improvement is not looking to make any.

you can't blame 4-24 solely on bad 20 yr olds over 3 years. at some point upgrades in players or coaching will have to be addressed.
