You people are truly amazing. You rip these players to shreds week in and week out on this board, and believe me, they know it. Then you wonder why they don't come up to you at the game and thank you for your support? Get a clue.

For those of you who did not make the trip to Florida last week, the officiating was the most one-sided I have ever experienced in a football game. I won't try to say that we didn't deserve the penalties we received, but I would say that FLorida was commiting just as many holding, blocks in the back, etc., with officials standing right in front of them and they were not called. I think DD is right on with his calling "foul" on this one.

The team is asked to hurry because the team and all the equipment has to transported back to the new athletic center. The team was bused over to conserve parking spaces for the fans and had to be bused back to get their cars after they showered. All the equipment is then collected and taken back to the athletic center.

According to Mandy McKinley, he was in Denton preparing for a group from the NCAA that will be in town this week. They are apparently picking miscellaneous schools to visit and check out. I guess this is something they do every year, and we are one of the ones chosen this year.

I my son said that the scrimmage would be Saturday morning at Fouts if it is ready. Special teams were there yesterday checking out the new turf. As always this is subject to change. Today the scout teams will start running LSU plays against the offense and defense in preparation for that game.

The practice schedule shows Saturday August 27th @ 7 p.m.

I received my mailer today from UNT for "Family Weekend 2005" Sept 16-18. In the events listed for Saturday the 17th at 6:05 pm the highlight of the weekend will be the UNT vs Troy football game. Who checks these before they mail them ? Someone that does not go to the games obviously. Here's Your Sign !

What happened to the new colors ? These jerseys look like the same color as last years.

What happen with Cullen Mills coming back to the team ? According to "The Athletic Department" they are considering letting him return to the team, but according to the players he was asked to come back and is already working out and preparing to return to the team.

Last year the NCAA changed the rules so that although the player is still required to pass 24 hours in a 24 month period, 18 of those hours must be passed in the fall and spring semesters combined. If not, no summer school hours will help you. Also, as before, you must have enough total hours to be on track to graduate, thus, if this is your third year on the team, you must have passed enough hours to be a junior. I'm not sure exactly what effect red shirting has on the hour requirements, if any.

Is this privacy act something new ? Last year when May and the others were declared ineligible because of grades it was in the Dallas Morning News.
