I personally have always thought this parade would be a no brainer. I'd love to work on a float and would contribute to its entry fee. Anyone ever approached the band about participating? The whole pep band was willing to come to NorthPark for an event a few years ago and all they wanted for appearing was pizza. Let's make this happen!

I can't think of a more deserving young man. Hope he gets to show the world what he can do!

I could be wrong - won't be the 1st time or the last - but at the Children's Advocacy Center of Denton County golf tournament, Jody Dean was the MC and wanted to meet Rick V and get up and see a game. Know that they talked, so this might be the result. I thought I heard that he went to UNT, but I witnessed the conversation but didn't hear it. I think the more support and exposure the better.

Rick, we really appreciate all that you have done for North Texas. We also know that raising money and support has sometimes been an uphill battle. I do believe that supporting all our teams makes more of a difference than complaining. Nothing ever improves as fast as we would like. I just get upset when those who oppose a certain coach or whose suggestions are not readily implemented, take their support away from the kids who play the game! If you were at the football banquet in 2005 and you did not support those kids at the banguet in 2006 - SHAME ON YOU! Everyone posts that the players know that you are not against them - I don't believe that it how they view the situation. If you want better recruits and better facilities - show your support - not just talk about it. Vicki & Brad Olson

Rick, North Texas is a better school just because of you! No one is more passionate or compassionate than you. Not that many people know that you practically started the football players walkover and that you bring the green & white banners every game. For every nay sayer, you are always a positive! I just read my new email and there is an annoucement from Dr. Pohl that he will not be President after August 31, 2006! I think he has been a great President and I will be very sad that he will not be at UNT after this year. Did anyone hear that this was a possiblity? I was floored!!

We sit behind the visitors bench, about 4 rows up. I stand and yell all the time and no one has ever said a thing or given me a look. Come over to our section and you can scream all you want. Also, unlike bowljinx, I want to applogize for the "bull shit" comment. I was right about the call, but I tend to get carried away. Also, I have no problem with students moving into reserved seats if no one is in them. The closer the crowd; the louder!! I do object to visitors coming into a reserved section and seating their butts down. Brad made a whole row move to the "Baylor Section". We need more support for our guys, not less!!!

The Mean Green Room for Basketball is like the Deck for football, but the drinks and food is free! It has been crowded for both the Men & Women's games - which is a great sign. Join the Mean Green Club and come on down. Many times after the games, the coaches will come in to meet and greet. You'll have a great time.
