I know I do not have near the connections that you have, rick, but at least it seems like we are moving in the right direction. Even though it might be a small step in the financial part of planning, I think naming a design firm is a step in the right direction. We might not be any closer to our goal of raising the money, but this at least gives our guys some ammo when they go in to meet with the donors. You said you want to see a leap of faith from the university, and this seems like they at least believe it can be done b/c otherwise it seems like a lot of money to waste for a pipe dream. That being said I also want to say that I thank you for everything you do for this board and for your university. I have never met you in person, but am very grateful that we have alumni like you, few and far between as you may be.

I also noticed that wku drove the ball to the basket more we did. I can't wait to see what happens in a few years when we start calling more offensive plays for tt. that guy seems to be the only one that can get inside on a consistent basis. Also, I like that kid magley(sp?) on wku. He is a beast. the program listed him as 6'9 265. You think knox will have a hard time moving him in years tro come?

I remember earlier that everyone was talking about troy taking a lot of academic risks. I guess there is the possibility that they do not expect all of their recruits to qualify academically. I think that is one of the risks we are taking with jenkins. I don't know all the rules on that, but there seems to be ways around the 25 scholarship thing, ie.e greyshirting, b/c there are teams every year that do it. hell look at this years recruiting champ alabama.

How good is Troy expected to be next year? Don't they have to break in a new qb. I think we found out after Scott Hall that, that is no always the easiest thing to do.

Everyone asks this question, i was wondering if anyone who has a subscription to rivals has ever tried to contact them and ask them how they came up with the ranking of the sun belt this year. I looked at the page 2 link, and neither troy nor the muts have as many recruits, or as many 3 star players. Also they do not have more state ranked players or nationally ranked players at their respective positions. I just can't figure this one out. our avg star ranking went down b/c of the commit from hallivay, but that is the only area where they are beating us.

I dont think it is. I have been to he last couple of games and they all seem to be about the same, with the bottom bowl mostly full. the big difference between the game tonight, and thursdays game was the students. There must have been something going on b/c even that guy that dresses up in the old unt uni wasnt there tonight. Overall though you really gotta love to see the attendance slowly grow. Does anyone know the difference in the attendance numbers from this year and last year? We have to be on pace to set our highest average in quite sometime.

part of the reason for the late arriving crowd could have to do with the 35 bridge being closed down for a while yesterday. i came up to denton from 114 b/c of it.

you know, we've had a lot of guys come through here that don't have an offensive inside game. i can live with that, i just hope that he is able to become an inside presence for us on the defensive side. the 6 blocks is what i like to see.if this kid can be a defensive inside presence, with who we have now, and either babb or Russell, this class and the last one could turn us into a march cinderella power.

I just got freaked out b/c i went over to the blog and it said the game was already on. Then i found out it was on, and that we were losing. then I found out it was the womens team and i took a big sigh of relief. Does that make me a bad person?

cbl I completely agree w/ you. I love j white, but the offensive flow seems better, and i think our defense is better as well. as far as the offense goes, the main difference is that you dont have a guy that can create for himself as well as white can, but he tends to hesitate when moving the ball around the perimeter. when you watch our older guys in there you can just see that they know where they are going with the ball before they get it.

I'll be there solo. All my friends are bastards, and none of them want to support their alma-mater.

It will fall, but eventually the winning will make up for the sos to an extent. your winning % is like 50% of your rpi i believe. I dont think by any means that wht we have ahead will be a cakewalk, but i bet if we finish with 25 wins, before the sun belt tournament, we will still be top 60 by the end of the year.

made sure you send this to the ath dept. we dont want them to overlook some boys from texas in our own backyard. I would like both of those kids from corsicana, they look mean as hell.

oh crap, oh crap, oh crap. Maybe this will give mccoy a chance to get som more minutes, and build on the momentum from his last game. While it wasn't great it was much better than what we had seen previously.
