  1. He has club seats and is there every game.
  2. You people are going to make me pin this to the top of the board aren't you? Animals.
  3. The answer is still no. But I'm flattered.
  4. They lost that hurry up offense. New OC doesn't emphasize it, and I think that is mainly because their new QB isn't able to run it as fast as the old one. I know the FAU fans always bad talked him, but Driskel had a 4-1 TD/INT ratio and kept that offense humming.
  5. If this occurs we'll make you the Official GoMeanGreen.com Attendance Czar.
  6. He quoted you and asked you a question, not mgnation.
  7. This thread is 7 months old. How did you find it? Why did you think it needed to be answered? It's incredible.
  8. Well: However, it only took him a few months to sour on the SL hire and want him to go to Houston:
  9. What @FirefightnRick is trying to say:
  10. We're not going to replace Fine. Just like we never replaced Booger. Once a generation talents. However, we need to find who can run the offense in an effective manner. That QB might not even be on the roster now, lets find out if there is a chance he is.
  11. I love Quinn and think he is kind of person that you are proud is an alumn. However, IF we do build a big lead, giving him more than one series is crazy. We need to know if any of the young QBs are going to be able to take the helm after Fine graduates. Throw them some playing time to see how they make in game decisions.
  12. Rice played several QBs last week and they will do that same this week. Green will get the start, but they'll play anyone except the seniors. Anyone. The Roost: BREAKING - Owls to start Wiley Green vs North Texas
  13. If the whistle was correct, we never fumbled the ball. If it was an inadvertent whistle, we were the team in possession (before the snap) and fumbled the ball during the play, we should have been able to ask to repeat the down.
  14. The earlier you get there the better an idea it is.
  15. If the play was blown dead you can't review anything after the whistle. That is why the staff was mad. If the play is already dead it doesn't matter if the ball is fumbled afterwards.
  16. No they don't. The bowl is owned and organized by ESPN Entertainment. The city used to pay $400,000 a year for the bowl game to be held in the Cotton Bowl. However, even then they didn't get to say how the bowl was being run, or who was invited. That is the primary reason there was a huge dust up about the costs in the Dallas City Council meetings this year. A faction decided the money would be better spent elsewhere. They were able to cut the cities contribution significantly, from $400k to $150k a year, and the agreement only runs for two more years. The funding cut was big enough that ESPN teams up with Impression Sports, which is a subsidiary of Fox Sports. It's my understanding that Impression is who got ServePro on board, or otherwise this bowl might already be dead. Here is an article last year about the bowl situation: USA Today: How ESPN, College Football Playoff are saving bowl games I think ESPN Events now owns 15 bowls. They are run by them to provide TV programs that they can sell ad space on. The First Responders bowl is one of them.
  17. No. That is what the NO Bowl wants, since it was formed by the GNOSF to get people into hotel rooms and spending money in casinos and on Bourbon. ServePro is owned by ESPN for TV ratings. LaTech isn't going to get any more viewers that NT is. That's just the fact of G5 life. If you have two schools that will bring in about the same what makes better TV? A big crowd. Here is the bowl attendance numbers: OkieSt vs Purdue 48,313 Houston vs Penn St 46,817 Texas Tech vs Northwestern 40,121 North Texas vs Army 39,117 North Texas vs UNLV 38,380 LaTech vs Illinois 31,297 Utah vs WV 20,507 Washington vs Southern Miss 20,229 USM and LaTech each got a P5 and we still had better attendance. More or less by ourselves, especially against UNLV. CUSA always does it's best to get the champion in whatever bowl they want. After that it's working out who the bowls want.
  18. DRC: It's time for the annual "Get Your Rear on the Record" contest
  19. Unless LaTech comes back to win the West I think we most likely end up bowling in Dallas. The bowl is going to want us, it's a good opportunity for us to sell the program to the fans who will come out and see a big green crowd. However if we did get the New Mexico bowl, Santa Fe is a nice area about an hour outside ABQ. Stay there instead.
  20. The floor... is lava?
  21. As to the OP. Since we won more than eight last year and are going to win more than eight this year, it's probably not his ceiling.
