Well since BYU has a tenure system, I have no problem playing them.

Ranking doesn't matter as far as the bowl selection goes. They try to get the overall champion into the bowl they want. After that they talk with all the AD's and bowl people and try to figure out who makes who the happiest. Now they have to get Bahamas and Hawaii settled ASAP. Bahamas because of passport issues, Hawaii to try and cut costs. Obviously at least FIU and LaTech said they would be happy with that. If we do get a B10 team in the Dallas bowl game, then I can see the CUSA winner wanting that game and us ending up in New Mexico.

Honolulu newspaper is reporting that LaTech will get the Hawaii Bowl slot.

UTSA announced they would not be bringing their OC Al Borges back next year. It also seems that he did not call plays against NT, instead WR coach Jeff Kastl was the OC for the game. So not only did they start a QB they hadn't before, they had a different person calling plays. So much like how FAU looked confused when Shanbour came in, having a new QB/OC combination probably changed all the tendencies and gave us fits.
