  1. B.S. Counseling Education M.S. Rehab. Counseling 2 years in the field. Currently trying to get into photgraphy. Husband: started in bus. admin but switched after 3 years. B.A. RTVF worked for an internet start up in the 90's. Currently does contract work (computers and internet) when he's not working on the university's toys (bell, model A, cannon, etc).
  2. for the most part, i loved the new unis. i thought they did look a little too black and not enough green - especially when looking from afar but i'll take that over some of the other choices seen in the past. my husband thought they were alright but hated the plumes.
  3. the bell rang 3 times that i heard. it rings for scores and things mentioned earlier, plus last season (and I hope it continues for all seasons) fans can follow the bell (tug) vehicle over to the admin building for the lighting of the victory lights and the bell can be rung all thru the denton streets. homecoming parade, drive and ring. it was outside the mean green village for tailgating but I think there should be a more active role of it there as well. ring the players marching out, ring the start of tailgating, ring for the sake of ringing! you can always ring my bell!
  4. i couldn't have said it better. thanks emmitt

  10. WAY TO GO MEAN GREEN!!! It may not have been the best game but we won didn't we?!!! So what did we do well? Yes, we had some luck and yes MT kinda shot themselves there but we still had to have something going for us! Reading all these posts, I got depressed b/c all I read was everything that went wrong or was bad or sucked or whatever. How about a little positive commentary too? I sure wouldn't want to be our team coming off the field to a "welcoming" committee like what I've read tonight. But, that's just me. It's nothing personal. I like to focus on the positive and leave the critiques to the coaches

  16. i belive there are many factors that went into making this one of the worst disasters we've seen and it's difficult to point to one person or branch of gov't. we need to focus on rescue, recovery and re-building right now. hopefully, in the end there will be better contingency plans and more competent people all along the way.
  17. I can hardly wait for the 1st home game
  18. thx for the info. i just don't understand what the point is to the violence and what they hope to accomplish. this is just beyond words. i cannot even begin to imagine what he must really be like there right now. and the problems in the hospitals, with the rescue efforts, the evan plans (or lack thereof), etc, etc. this is going to have consequences for some time to come and things we can't even begin to think about. hope you keep us updated.
  19. guess who's back! thx for all the info about date and times and suggested items. i received an email from the school or NT exes or somebody but there were no times mentioned about saturday. i went to the unt web site and again, no times mentioned. so, since i needed to return home anyway, i came back to GMG and, voila, there was everything i needed to know. thanks again and hope to see some of you there tomorrow!
