We have not scheduled the way everybody else does until now. RV turning down P5 schools at Apogee was dumb. It was a scared tactic to avoid a color different than green in the stands. If he was scared at that prospect then it means it was a P5 team with the ability to bring 10-15K fans. Pathetic. The good news is that Wren is trying to do something about the joke schedule RV saddled us with.

Umm actually the Athletic Department report that just came out states that not only did RV not attempt to schedule those types of schools HE REBUFFED P5 SCHOOLS THAT WANTED TO PLAY AT APOGEE BECAUSE HE WAS SCARED THAT THEY WOULD HAVE MORE FANS. I don't want to beat a dead horse but Mr Ed is fixin' to get a whuppin. RV was terrible at scheduling and should be embarrassed at that aspect of his tenure among many many other things.

We are actually pretty balanced as we have run 226 times versus 216 pass attempts. When we do pass we tend to employ a short passing game and don't go deep very often. Wind probably won't hamper our version of the Air Raid. This should be a very fast moving game as there will be plenty of running plays from both sides. Good luck tomorrow.

Herman will be coaching at a P5 school next year and might take a chunk of his staff with him. The question is what can UH afford to pay their next head coach now that they will almost certainly dial their spending back. This is worst case scenario for Houston. Well at least they got a nice new stadium out of it.

Triple option is a tough offense to go against as teams just don't have to play against it very often. We do have two weeks to prepare so the coaching staff will have time get the guys ready. I'm still not sure it will be enough. On offense we have to take advantage of every opportunity as there wont be many. An extension of the Army option is that running the ball so much also runs the clock. Army's defense leads FBS in opponent plays at 332 and thus doesn't give up many yards. QB is a position you CANNOT have too many of. I will have no problem if Littrell keeps recruiting QBs as they are a position that you can move around to other positions(remember that Brad Kassell was one of the best LB to ever play for UNT and he was a QB in high school). No position is guaranteed on Seth Littrell's roster. He has proven that with Fine taking over as a true freshman when everyone thought(me included) that Alec would be the starter this year. If Isadore, Pearson, or anyone else is better than Fine then they will play.

Cerebus, isn't it a little early to grade the hire? Where are the graphs and charts? How come I can't see who voted for what? Can we expect a follow-up after the season?

I predicted two wins this season. I WAS WRONG. I have never been so happy to be wrong. I am SO Proud of this team and this coaching staff. My heart swells for this team. I will say it again. I WAS WRONG!!!!!!

Vito seems to think this will be done by June 2017. That is friggin amazing. This is HUGE for ALL sports as they will all get to use it. We wouldn't be proposing this if The Wren didn't already have funding lined up.

If the article is correct and they plan to be finished by summer 2017 that is amazing. SL can recruit to the IPF now that there seem to be concrete plans. The Wren gets it. This giant may be starting to wake up.

Has to be the least surprising story ever. Our OLine is terrible. I don't know if it's: 1. Power running game blockers adjusting to the Air Raid. 2. Lack of overall talent. 3 Bad OL coaching. 4. A combination of all three. We need to focus on recruiting the big uglies and quickly. You can't sugar coat it what we're trotting out there. With a decent OLine we could be 3-2 or 4-1 right now.

Our OL is really really bad and until we get that in order I can't see us moving the ball with any consistency. UNT 17 Marshall 31
