Speaking of longevity. Does anyone know how Riley is doing with the compressed disc? It was scary to see him get carted off the field and I hope he is doing well.

Pretty nearly a clean slate. It's understandable that he kept Nelson due to their long relationship together. Canales has only been here one season so there is enough distance from the Dodge era for Chico to stay. It will be an interesting few days as the names come rolling in.

I know we are gonna get alot of coachspeak today at the press conference and I understand that. We'll get the usual; "We are gonna bring a winner to Denton", We're gonna hit the recruiting trail hard", "We've got alot of good players to work with here", etc... But what do you want to hear from DMac to ease your mind regarding his hiring.

If Dan McCraney is indeed the new coach then I would assume that Mike Nelson has the best chance at being retained due to his past with McCarney. I am torn about this as I wish I knew how many of the D-line personal decisions were Nelsons and how many were Dodge telling him who would play where. By all accounts, Nelson was quite an accomplished D-line coach prior to his stint here. Who else has a shot at staying? Does Deloach stay on?

I wonder if there will be a round of leaks after the game tonight since the regular seasons for UNT and most other teams will be over. It seems that most coaches are released for new head coaching gigs before the bowl games. It will allow time for any current assistant at another school to inform his current players of his move. It would also allow Chico and the current UNT staff to start interviewing elsewhere.

That brings up a great question about the new temple. What will the beer situation be like? I am assuming it will be like the current deck situation right? It sure would be nice to buy a beer at concessions.

For those of you that have the ESPN Score Center App on iPhone, Android, etc.. They have a "Top Events" section each day. At the very top of the page in the app is the UNT vs. Kansas game. I thought it was pretty cool anyway.
