  1. The only people that need to know are the coaching staff, Robinson, and Goree. That's it. If anyone is fired up to know what happened then knock yourself out and ask one of the parties involved. See how far you get with that. I trust that the violations were either: 1. Repeated violations. or 2. Bad enough to warrant immediate dismissal. Either way I trust the coaching staff to make the decisions that are in the best interests of the team and university. Good luck to Robinson and Goree in whatever and wherever their path takes them. I wish them nothing but the best.
  2. I'll say it yet again. There have been some dumb posts on here in the past. VERY DUMB. But this one takes the cake. You don't look the other way to protect rapists. I would turn a family member in for rape without a 2nd thought. If this was a joke it was a shitty one. If it was serious then I wish you would start supporting another team.
  3. I believe Fine and Wilson will be game time decisions as per Littrell in his press conference yesterday so we are at least gonna make UTEP gameplan for them. And planning for Fine vs Morris is a big difference. I love the fact that Seth doesn't show his hand with injuries. It keeps the other team guessing right up until game time.
  4. This might preclude this from happening
  5. It's nobody's business what team rules they broke. Plain and simple. I'm curious as is everyone else but my curiosity does not warrant answers from the staff. The most important part is that the team knows what happened and they also now know what the consequences are for those actions. THAT is what matters. Littrell preaches accountability from his players and expects self-policing from the team. Goree and Robinson broke team rules and let their teammates down because of it. It did not hurt us against USM(loss) and hopefully will not against UTEP but the reality is that their actions could have cost us a bowl game.
  6. So when is the point of no return where Wren pulls the trigger on firing Benford. Is it at the point when we are assured of a losing season sometime around mid January. If that's the case then why wait until then because nothing about the teams play in the first three games indicates that they are going to make some 180 turnaround and play differently then they have the last 4 years. Let's just hurry the process and get a jump on the coaching search competition. If we keep this trend of getting worked by mediocre teams then the sooner the better. Shoulda done it last March.
  7. Blocked and still squeaked through. I was "embarrassed" about us going to a bowl until I was on a plane headed to 'Nawlins.
  8. prayers to the family and team
  9. You were the ONLY person in that entire stadium that was posting on the site of a school you were rejected by during the game. SERIOUSLY! I'm sure Herman was checking in on Texags.com and Hornfans.com during the 2nd half. The only excellent thing is that you will be starting all over again when TH leaves to greener pastures at an ACTUAL P5 school. Good luck with your next coach as your admin has already stated that they can't keep up financially now that the Big 12 publicly strung you along and dumped you at the altar. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  10. Really? Please stop. On a site with a history of some pretty dumb statements(mine included), that has to be one of the dumbest. Fine is the future and playing him this year was the right decision for now and the future. DD played Scott Hall his freshman year and Hall took his lumps. Hall made some bad decisions and played poorly at times but he also had flashes of what he would be in the future. That placed the foundation for one of the best runs in school history. Hall needed the experience while the rest of the team was built around him. Morris is/was a stopgap and was never about anything more than that. If Littrell started Morris all year then we would be starting all over with Fine next season. If we win tomorrow then it is about the team stepping up to replace two great starters and overcoming adversity.
  11. Vic Trilli and Tony Benford are/were great recruiters for UNT in Basketball. Todd Dodge was a great recruiter for UNT in football. Trilli and Dodge oversaw the worst periods in their respective sports at UNT and Benford is about to get run out of town. Recruiting is important but you HAVE to be able to coach those players.
  12. This shows further that the best players will be on the field regardless of class or previous spot on the depth chart. If you work hard on and off the field you can get PT here. Recruits will love that.
  13. On the contrary I work to live. It pays my bills and allows me to have the things I want/like. But I am also not willing to be dishonest with my boss. My boss knows that if I call in sick then it's something serious. I also know that when I call in sick it puts a heavier workload on my co-workers than they would normally have and that's not fair to them bowl game or not. BTW: I did not downvote your post
  14. I only take sick days if I'm sick. I'm not gonna lie to my boss and expect he won't lie to me either. What's up is, I have a responsibility in my job to be there when expected. Sadly a lot of people are in that boat(can't take off on short notice, out of vacation days)
  15. Yes, short notice. Not everyone gets to just take vacation days when they want to or feel like it. Most people have to plan more than three weeks out to be able to take a day off on 12/27. A lot of people are also out of vacation time that late in the year. Again, We brought 37K plus to the last HOD bowl because it was a day off for most people. It was easier in the New Orleans Bowl days as that was our only bowl possibility so fans could plan well in advance.
  16. The problem with that is the game this year is at 11:00 am on a Tuesday. One of the big reason's we had such a good UNT turnout last time was that the game was on New Years day. A lot of people that want to go would not be able to get the day off on such short notice.
  17. I predicted 2 wins before the season. I couldn't have been more wrong. This team is buying in to Littrell's vision all the way. The influx of JUCO talent, the actual coaching that is taking place, in-game adjustments. These are all reasons why this thing is working. The sky is the limit with this team and to think next year we return: 15 of 22 on the offensive 2 deep and 15 of 22 on the defensive 2 deep
  18. I'm not sure but I think that would be some sort of record. I'll have to look it up to be sure.
  19. The novelty has worn off with the city of San Antonio. The 2014 UNT-UTSA game drew 24K so expect about the same.
  20. I have seen the spread as low as even as per ESPN line.
  21. This is a huge game for us as it is one of the two remaining games(UTSA and UTEP) that most penciled in as possible/probable wins before the season started. Any UNT fan that has been following the team for any amount of time knows that ANY win is hard to come by. We are two wins away from bowl eligibility and we cannot let these opportunities slip away. I know that Littrell and Co will have the team ready and if we can leave San Antonio with a win we will be in a prime spot to get to a bowl(and beyond). UTSA is a hard team to break down as they have been a Jekyll and Hyde team this season. The play Arizona State close and should have won that game. They shellac Southern Miss. But then they barley beat Rice, get pounded by Old Dominon, and lose at home to a bad UTEP team. I just don't know which UTSA team will show up on Saturday. We will be one week better. UNT 34 UTSA 20
  22. While it has gotten BSU positive press and recognition, what it hasn't gotten them is an invite to a P5 which shows the importance of not only winning games but your location. Conferences want TV markets. If we can win consistently the sky is the limit.
