  1. Bring him on as a grad assistant or a quality control coach on defense.
  2. Clarified: The initial beating is just to acclimate us to what will be in store. It includes numerous nut kicks, nut punches, baseball bats to the nuts, hammers to the nuts, nut thumps, nuts in vices, flying nut punch/kick combos, spiked baseball bats to the nuts and nuts set on fire.
  3. One point about your title saying "lifelong fans". We're ALL lifelong fans. Once you're in, you're in. It's like a gang. You take a 20 minute beating upon entry to UNT athletics support and the only way out is a bodybag.
  4. Big pickup for Littrell and his staff. Looks like we were able to flip him from East Carolina. He also had offers from Georgia State, Iowa State, Nevada, Southern Miss, and nUTSAck. He will be here for Spring Practice and will fill a need created by Banogu's graduation. ETA: Looks like the staff recruited him for Guard/Center
  5. Most importantly he will be here for Spring Practice. I cannot tell you HOW IMPORTANT being here for Spring Practice is. Nice pickup by Seth and the staff. Maybe slot him into Banogu's place.
  6. Big get at a need position.
  7. It all boils down to whats important to these two as all 3 local schools will bring them closer to home/family. 1. A chance to play for a national championship in a Power 5 conference and a private school education while hoping for playing time behind 3 and 4 star athletes(TCU). 2. A chance to play immediately at a school with great diversity in a great college town(UNT). 3. A chance to suck for a few years at a vastly overrated school(SMU).
  8. It is pronounced "yes please"
  9. nfm
  10. Energy is overrated. I want a coach who can, you know, coach. I don't care if he has narcolepsy. I don't mind if he needs 5 Red Bulls to get to baseline. I just don't care about anything other than, can he coach a defense that mixes in some blitzes every now and again. Can he recruit the depth we need to be able to rotate fresh legs in and out of the game. Can he disguise his looks enough to not make the opposing coordinators laugh Gatorade out of their noses in the booth. All energy gets you is a bad ass drum solo.
  11. Mike Ekeler, linebackers coach at Southern Cal in 2013, was named Inside Linebackers Coach at Georgia on Feb. 6, 2014. He also coordinates the defensive special teams. Ekeler had previously served as linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator at Indiana (2011-12). A native of David City, Nebraska, he had served as linebackers coach at Nebraska for three seasons (2008-10) under head coach Bo Pelini. During his three years in Lincoln, the Cornhuskers won or shared the Big 12 Conference North Division title all three seasons. As Nebraska's linebackers coach, he was involved with some of the nation's most successful defenses. In 2010, Nebraska was third nationally in pass efficiency defense, fifth in pass defense, ninth in scoring defense and 11th in total defense. In 2009, the Cornhuskers led the country in scoring defense and pass efficiency defense, and were seventh in total defense and ninth in rushing defense. http://www.georgiadogs.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/mike_ekeler_885053.html
  12. Maybe a RB or outside wide receiver in the Air Raid. Just let him get the ball in space and do work. Possibly some work as a wild eagle QB.
  13. Vito now reporting the same. Tulsa and UNT both knew of decision on Sunday. Looks like the friend let it out of the bag.
  14. You get a warning and you get a warning and you get a warning and you get a warning and you get a warning!
  15. Coach Littrell will be on ESPN Central Texas at around 3:30 pm today. http://www.1660espn.com
  16. Looks to be a solid hire for ULM. Success at the FCS level and knows the state of Louisiana well.
  17. No big deal for nUTSAck. They can just go out and hire there boy Jinks to... Oh, that sucks. Too soon?
  18. How can we really make an informed decision on this coaching hire. There has not been enough data to determine if Littrell has done a "good/bad" job yet. None of his coaching hires are official yet. We don't know who his recruits are for 2016. He has never been a head coach. Should you ask this question after some better data has been collected? Will there be more polls in the future to see how the boards opinions have changed over time(that would be fun). Asking for a friend.
