  1. After he charts the plays and breaks down UNT and opponent film he has to put it all into reports for the defensive staff for each game. It's A LOT of work but also a way into the front door. Just ask Filani.
  2. I am assuming he would be charting plays, breaking down/editing defensive game film, scouting upcoming opponents game film, etc...
  3. Not difficult to recruit to Oklahoma State, Auburn, and TCU. nUTSAck not so much.
  4. this is great. Long overdue, but GREAT
  5. Nothing makes me happier than when I see a guy we "maybe" wanted as an assistant coach is being considered as a candidate for head coach at nUTSAck. This is too much.
  6. I'm sure someone on the board can photoshop Littrell, Harrell, etc into a Untouchables movie photo.
  7. Serious question here, not a jab. If by some strange turn of events RV is dumb enough to step down or Smatresk pulls the trigger. Who is on your list of who UNT should consider for the AD position. Established successful AD from an FCS school. Associate AD from an FBS school. Pretty sure Hyman wouldn't take this big of a step down.
  8. Confusing to say the least.
  9. It's Missouri State.
  10. La-La and Texas State are his only FBS offers. The 5.3 time in the 40 gives me pause as a LB though. He goes 6'2" 240 now so maybe he can beef up to truly play strong side D-End.
  11. Agreed. On the downside, whomever he chooses will be his 3rd school in a year. He showed up to Nebraska out of shape and didn't know the playbook. The upside is that he was a 4-star STUD in high school that a lot of big name schools wanted. If he plays to that potential here in a hopefully comfortable environment closer to home, family, and friends then it will be the jackpot. If it is the same old story for him then we will have one less scholarship player on board at a position where we have not had a problem in recent memory. I think it is well worth the risk and a no-brainer.
  12. I would have liked to have seen the look on Littrell's face when he found out we weren't dong the little things like this that most other schools were doing. It's not rocket science. We should have been utilizing social media a long time ago. And no, Capper talking about seeing Iowa in a bowl game or busting DT's balls doesn't count.
  13. Even if we don't get him, WE ARE IN THE HUNT. That is the important thing. High school players take notice of who signs where and that can start a snowball effect. Starkel is the number 15 pro style QB IN THE NATION. We are in the conversation for 3 and 4 star players(Starkel, Kincade, Stevenson, Morris) and actually signing some(English). Last year we were clamoring for low 2-star recruits that had offers from American Truck Driving School and Ogle School of Hair Design and were elated when we got them. Things seem to be different around here so far and that IS exciting.
  14. Any sane AD will welcome that kind of money back with open arms. Especially at a school where it makes up such a large percentage of donations. If someone wants to give you money you take it. The school holds the leverage there as the donor already knows he can't have his way. If Mattress Mac wanted to come back and give to UNT, I would say yes in a heartbeat. We need every penny we can get. We're not n a position to say no and neither is Texas State-San Marcos.
  15. If only I could spell.
  16. I like to thank every restaurant in the DFW area for considering me for their food and I'm still interested in any restaurants that have not offered but it's come down to these four joints for my dinner: Pecan Lodge Cane Rosso The Mansion on Turtle Creek Babes Chicken Dinner House I will be announcing my commitment in about 20 minutes -Eagle-96
  17. Don't get me wrong. I think we are still an option. I would just have to think that UCLA and A&M are probably the front runners at this point based on previous word that he wanted to go to the west coast and with playing in the SEC at a school with a serious hole at QB. Making the list is a big deal and other kids will take notice. That snowball is starting to pick up steam downhill.
  18. Looks like it's probably down to UCLA and A&M. No shame if we don't get this kid. This is the number 15 rated pro-style QB in the country. UNT is finally being thought of as a viable destination and THAT is a huge improvement over where we were 1 month ago.
  19. If they didn't then they should have.
