  1. There has to be. Did you see the "attendance figures" from the UTEP game? They were counting something else besides humans.
  2. Hate to say it, but we ARE his audience. Not many other humans follow UNT. Yet. Fair assessment. But I think Littrell is changing that. He HAS to or there may not be a next time for us.
  3. I'm saying it's boring because he's not telling us things we don't already know. Starkel to A&M and we had very little chance. Check We don't have a DL coach yet. Check Other CUSA schools are getting commits that we only dream of. Check High School athletes considered UNT a joke up until 2 months ago. Check BTW: I have never been, and never will be, ashamed of having a degree from UNT. NEVER. And I know you aren't either.
  4. The trolling is strong in this one. I agree. I just knew we were a long shot and probably a 3rd option. The good news is that, in the past, we have been a 10th or 11th option for guys like this.
  5. I want to downvote you but my conscience will not allow it. You spew a lot of garbage about UNT but this isn't one of those times.
  6. He's trying to temper sometimes unrealistic expectations. He reads the board and he has seen posts touting how much better this class will be than Macs dartboard classes. When a team has a new coach there is excitement. New staff, new schemes, new players, etc... Vito is trying to let us know that it will not be easy for Littrell and this class. We can't go all Jonestown when we offer(and sign) players with zero stars and zero other FBS offers. There will be a flip or two that pleases everyone and there will also be a few "huh" signings. As Bill Parcells says, "You are what you are" and right now we are one of the worst programs in FBS and have been for a while, but Littrell is slowly changing that. He is gonna need TIME.
  7. They're also # 1 because they have 18 3-Star recruits.
  8. Agreed. Aggie's recruit to lose at this point.
  9. 1. Alec Morris has not thrown a meaningful pass in 4 years. I think he will be a big talent upgrade at QB but to chalk up 3000 yards is jumping the gun a bit. Let's see how spring practice goes before we get too excited. Since 2001 UNT has had exactly zero 3000 yard passers. DT was the closest in 2013 at 2896 yards. This includes Dodge's spread offense years. It's gonna take a lot more than decent productivity out of Morris. 2. Wilson is indeed a talent but he will be looked upon to provide more receiving yards at the expense of some on the ground. 1000 all-purpose yards may be closer to reality. He also needs to get his fumbles in check if he wants to stay on the field. 3. What very good skill position players are you talking about to put around Morris? Wilson has All-conference potential. The receivers all have potential but little else. Smiley is the leading returning receiver with 25 catches and then Goree with 15. Rutherford had 3 catches. We don't have much proven talent at WR. At TE we have Dillman who is a RS-Freshman who has yet to catch a pass.
  10. Speaking of the Spring Game, this opens up a larger topic. I wonder what access will be given to media and fans for spring practice, scrimmages, summer practice, and fall practice. I wonder how much(if any) of practices the media/fans will be allowed to view. Different coaches have different perspectives on this. Wonder where Littrell falls on this. Fedora opened spring scrimmages to fans so hopefully Littrell follows suit here.
  11. Gif was a reaction to Rod Rust flying right past several people. Nothing more.
  12. I also like the fact that we seem to be offering kids that also have offers from Ivy League schools. In the past we would always sweat a few players and worry about qualifying. Seems like we are offering some really smart players. Football IQ matters!
  13. Agreed. Super happy he is coming in as he is a 3-star composite. Just disappointed that people in our backyard know so little about us. Sounds like we will have a lot of recruits in over the next two weekends could provide an exciting atmosphere for the recruits.
  14. Good: He saw Bryce English transferred and knew he was good. This intrigued him and may be a factor that sways recruits. Bad: He seems like he is still committed to FSU Ugly: He didn't know who the F we were and he's from Aledo.
  15. If you and I suit up next year then 2015 will be looked upon fondly in comparison to our record for 2016. Not saying you don't have game but opponent records WILL fall.
  16. Was referring to the fact that we have a very very poor track record of winning appeals. The likelihood of winning this in the face of the recent rule change removing immediate eligibility is extremely unlikly. Not saying we shouldn't appeal but anyone counting on English playing next season will be very disappointed.
  17. My point is that he has as much chance at playing in 2016 as you or I do. We didn't win these cases even when there was a specific waiver process in place. We are not going to win anything now.
  18. I look forward to seeing English play in 2017.
  19. "NCAA athletes who transfer will no longer be able to apply for a hardship waiver to become immediately eligible at a new school starting in 2015-2016. The NCAA approved the change in April 2014 allowing transfers a possible sixth-year of eligibility. The extra year replaces the ability for a recruit to play immediately at his or her new school if granted a waiver. The sanctioning body sent out a statement earlier in the week addressing questions about the new rule, which goes into effect next school year." http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/ncaa-drops-immediate-eligibility-hardship-waiver-for-transfers-191437627.html
