I have faith in Morris but all it takes is one blown OL assignment or one foot planted wrong and Morris is out for the year.

I would take a QB at the expense of any other position on the team without hesitation. QB is THE most important position on the team bar none and it's not even close. We need all the capable QBs we can get. I would take Jennings in a heartbeat as he started for most of 2014 against the top competition in the country.

QBs get injured. Ask Baylor if they wish they had more QBs last year. You cant have too many capable QBs on your team.

I wonder if RV will try to sneak the Benford contract extension through on a day when there is other sports buzz. My guess is he waits until NCAA tournament selection day so its backpage. Get ready for more Benny And The Nets next year. Even Elton John can see that Benford is a failed bit. Sigh.

By "pretty good number of them" you mean all of them correct? Cross is the all-time winning coach in UTA history and played for them as well. He gets all 5 starters and 6 from the bench back next year. I doubt that he leaves UTA and a chance to make noise in the NCAA tournament next year to come to this dumpster fire. If and when he leaves UTA it will be for a much higher profile program. RV will go "All In" on Benford not messing up next years team and pray that he breaks through.

Welp, Cross signed a 4 year extension and will most likely stay at UTA for the foreseeable future and end up getting a building named after him when all is said and done. Looks like we're stuck with Benny whether we like it or not.

So does RV start work on the extension for Benford on the plane back today or does he wait until the weekend? We all know that RV is banking on Benford breaking through in year 6 like JJ did. The sad thing is that RV thinks that next years talent will overshadow Benford's coaching inabilities. Didn't work so well in year one though. Oh well. The band plays on.

Rick is coasting and has been for some time. He has just under 24 months left on his contract. There is NO WAY he will EVER resign and walk away from his paycheck. If he is the RV we all think he is then he is pinning his hopes on: 1. Littrell showing great improvement in 2016 and 2017. 2. Mitchell going all Kaizen again next season with an improved roster. 3. Benford somehow, someway not crapping the bed with next years roster.(I fear he will roll these dice unless Smatresk steps in and shit-cans Benford himself) If he hits on all 3 of these then he probably thinks he has a chance at getting an extension where he will go full auto pilot for 2-3 more years of easy pay. If he doesn't hit on these then he rides off into the sunset in March 2018. He just doesn't care.
