    I don't think it is vital to have the audit/summary complete to choose the new AD. I think the summary may be more along the lines of coming up with a laundry list of things for the new AD to fix. I also remember the July time-frame mentioned by Smatty.

    I think the search committee is keeping things under wraps and that is part of what they are paid to do. ADs from smaller schools and assistant ADs on our level probably don't want their names out there in a search. I wouldn't read anything into the fact that we haven't heard any names on a short list. We will all know soon enough.

    For everyone that is predicting 5-6 wins and rainbows and lollipops for this season, this number should be the sobering reality that revises your win prediction. 68 scholarship players is embarrassing. There is no way to sugar coat it. FCS schools have 65 scholarships on board. I still think Littrell is the man to get the job done but it is going to take more time than any of us think or believe.

    Well I figured that if the meeting had anything to do with UNT athletics then there would be: 1. healthy doses of sadism and masochism involved. 2.The fans on this board are definitely hardcore. 3. I've been getting nut-kicked for just past 20 years. So RedTube is the best place to upload the video. BTW: If you do not know what RedTube is.     Not saying he isn't good enough to play at Alabama. Keep in mind that their 3rd string QB from last year has a great chance to start here. I'm saying that the competition for playing time at Bama will be much better than the competition here. Bama brings back: Jonathan Allen - Senior All-SEC in 2015 D'Shawn Hand - Junior Played in 8 games in 2015 with 16 tackles and 3 sacks Dalvin Tomlinson - Senior played in 14 games and had 34 tackles

    I'm including other schools he'll play in front of on the road. 80K is about the midpoint in the SEC. Anyway, 21 year-olds can be seduced by rings and trophies. Alabama under Saban is one of a handful of schools that can recruit by saying "we'll be competing for the national championship this year". I'm just saying I don't like our chances against Nebraska and Alabama and I wouldn't blame him for going to either of those two schools. I also think he will get a heck of a lot more playing time here then anywhere else but sometimes that just isn't enough.

    So it comes down to more playing time in front of 15K - 20K fans vs the chance for less playing time for national titles in front of 80K fans. Not looking great for the good guys here.

    Footballscoop reported that Phil Bennett will coach the team in 2016 as an "extended" interim head coach. The rest of the staff will remain as well. I know things can change but that is big news and maybe the only viable option they had this late in the game.

    Wow, if the NCAA comes down hard on Baylor and gives a multi-year post season ban then it would be a bonanza of players on the market with immediate eligibility.

    So let's say the NCAA gives a one year ban for Title 9 violations. I assume players can transfer without penalty?

    Some voices already trumpeting a one year ban for football. Wow. If the NCAA goes after them it will be for Title 9 violations which would be precedent setting. I just feel so so bad for those women that have, and will continue to, suffer because of this.
