Softball coach Stacey Segal said pitcher Kristina Fowler of Meeker, Okla., and Southlake Carroll shortstop Katya Muller have signed national letters of intent. GMG!!!

Evan, I couldn't disagree with you more about MH's attitude. I think the point I was making is that he quit on this team and was lucky to be allowed back into the fold by DD. That's where the bad attitude comment came from. And I stand by my remark that he was not a good blocker. SWB said it best that he was a glorified pumped up half-back playing fullback. And yes, he had a hell of a great game against NMSU. He could have been so much more though. GMG!!! OU sux!!!

I have read more than a few publications and web-sites that concur with Harry's assesment of our safties. I thought the same thing about an overestimation until people in the know started saying they were possibly the best. They are like extra linebackers out there and are the reason why NOBODY goes over the middle to catch the ball against our D. Our only problem in the D-backfield will be finding enough playing time for Mackay, Priestly, Pearl, Starks, early, etc... GMG!!! Beat ou!!!

I think Eagle MBA hit it right on the head. This is a fairly deep area where we won't have trouble finding people ready to step in. I hope it isn't true for the sake of the STUDENT/athelete but we will move on. GMG!!!! Fear the Booger!!!!

Coach Segal, First of all, It's great to see a UNT coach keeping the fans in the know. We appreciate your posts. Secondly, in conversations with coaches in the other sports, how do they view GMG.com and its important role in Mean Green athletics. As far as I know you are the only coach(outwardly) that posts on GMG.com other than RV. The point I am trying to make is that we are thrilled that you keep us up to date and we would be thrilled if coaches in other sports would post as well. Pass the word if you will. Go Mean Green!!!! Go Lady Eagles Softball!!!!

To put it into perspective: Over the past 10 seasons the Fighting Irish have a record of 206-29-6. They have done very well in the NCAA Tournament as well: 2nd in 1994, 1996, and 1999 3rd in 1997 and 2000 National Champs in 1995 They are VERY GOOD to say the least. GMG!!!! Beat the Irish!!!!

Notre Dame will be a VERY TOUGH opponent. Calling them a national power is an understatement. That's like calling the Duke mens basketball program a "pretty good program" over the last decade. I hope we can hang. GMG!!!! Beat the Irish!!!!

Norah will be splitting a double-bill with Chris Isaak tonight on "Austin City Limits" on PBS channel 13 in Dallas/Fort Worth from 6:00 - 7:00. I'm not sure what time she will sing but it will be a good chance to see and hear her before she wins several awards tonight. GMG!!! GNJ!!!

That is disappointing to say the least. Let's hope this relatively small brush with the law is enough to hit home with George so that he doesn't follow that path that some athletes choose to follow. GMG!!!!
