  1. You have to go with Boobie Miles Reporter: Should we believe the hype? Boobie Miles: What hype? Reporter: The hype about Boobie Miles. Boobie Miles: Now hype is something that's not for real. I'm all real. Boobie Miles: Y'all wanna win? Put Boobie in.
  2. Since we have so many questions at QB I would have to say Mitch Maher. He would keep defenses honest and would keep the safties off the line. PC and J-Mo would have an easier time of it. Imagine what Maher to Quinn would be like. We would have a phenominal offense. On the Defensive side I would bring back Greene to wreak havoc on the D-line. others Craig Jones Troy Redwine Philip Armour Luis Silva Cody Spencer Don Mcgee
  3. Cerebus: What does "Warn %" mean, and why do I have it next to my posts?
  4. Lineberry has the talent to play on Sundays if he keeps up his current progression. He will dominate D-lineman this year. GMG!!! One for the thumb!!!
  5. I love his East Coast rappers pose. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh Booooooooooooooooyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
  6. Guys, We play in the SunBelt and it is all about the respect the rest of the country has for our conference. And that is ZERO. The simple fact is that we play against some of the worst college football teams in the country, year in and year out. J-Mo and Cobbs have gotten yards against some BCS teams but a vast majority has come against the Belt(although we have a SunBelt O-line). It's gonna take time for NT to gain respect around the country but we will get there.
  7. Dennis Franchione and Houston Nutt will be coaching next years game so I think they are close enough to Denton to hear their fair share about players from NT. I'd say Cobbs has a chance to play as well as Covington.
  8. Jack Crumes is actually listed as 6'4", 270 lbs
  9. It is a very valid point. Crowns are a reason you see quarterbacks overthrowing receivers on outs. The QB is higher than the receiver and it takes time to adjust to the difference. If we are gonna practice on the flat fields at Eagle Point, then I want us playing on a flat field on Saturdays.
  10. From the looks of the pictures of Fouts, there will definitely not be a crown on the new field. I think that is a big improvement in and of itself.
  11. http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_...520590#continue This quote from the article tells you all you need to know about Howard Johnson and what may have happened to Pohl: "If Pohl supports Johnson's original decisions, the faculty will explode. But if Pohl goes against Johnson-goes against the provost he hired-he casts a devastating vote of no confidence."
  12. I think that Pohl's mistake was backing Howard Johnson on this one. Howard dropped the ball in many areas and Pohl went to bat for him which, IMHO, was a mistake. I hope that Pohl is not a sacraficial lamb in all of this. If anyone should go, it should be Johnson. He has tarnished the good name of NT enough.
  13. I had forgotten about the warehouse. I remember thinking, at the time, that it would make a great athletic center. In retrospect the warehouse would have been a 40 year old Stuckey's in rural Alabama compared to the Taj Majal that the new AC is. That would have been a huge mistake.
  14. At the Spring AD meeting, RV stated that the Liberty Christian purchase was the single most important purchase in the schools history and has made everything else we have done, as far as athletics is concerned, possible. We saved an amazing amount of money for the school by purchasing the campus. I don't remember the exact figure, but the total savings is in the millions.
  15. Dr. Pohl, I know you are probably much too busy to read an internet fan board, but I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for what you have done for NT athletics. You have shown the country who North Texas is through the "Window" that is athletics. We have YOU to thank for: 1. The new athletic center 2. Tennis complex 3. Womens sports complex 4. Liberty Christian purchase 5. New baseball stadium 6. Student rec center 7. College of Engineering 8. New Chemistry building 9. New student health center You have done an amazing job and the Mean Green Nation owes you a debt of gratitude. I wish you well in wherever your career takes you.
  16. TJ Covington has a chance to go late in the draft because he is a pretty good cover corner, but more importantly because he is 6'2". Cobbs may also go in the later rounds but I fear he will be considered too small and more of a 3rd down back. He will more than likely go as a free-agent. That's all folks!
  17. "I'll take a chill pill. Why don't you take a reality suppository?" If LJ has his way with the hiring, then we may all end up taking it where the sun don't shine.
  18. I know what you mean. My mom drove 4 hours to see Neil Diamond. I just don't understand why chicks STILL dig him.
  19. Maybe we could get Karl Rove to out MOOTPOINT.
  20. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Neil Diamond? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Gimmie $80 and I'll take 'em.
  21. This will be a very big year for NT. I just hope that the school is very careful in their choice. We all know how their last big hire went when they chose Howard Johnson as provost(yeah that has gone really well, hasn't it). The university needs to take the opportunity that Dr Pohl has given them(1 year to choose a new president) and take their time to research the best candidates from around the country. We can't be in the business of thinking small, we need to go after the biggest and brightest names out there regardless of where they are currently employed. If there is a good candidate at Stanford, Rice, Harvard, etc... we can't be afraid to go after them. The time for thinking small has passed. We are NT and we are a destination school, not a stepping stone.
  22. Well, PurpleKat is here. OOOOHHHH you said GREEK.
  23. What topic gives YOU the most tired head in the offseason.
  24. No way. Brasky killed the polar bears with hornets that he shot out of his eyes. Then he made rocking chairs and fiddles out of the bones and sold them in Times Square. Brasky, he's a sonofabitch.
