It's great to know that the athletic department is handing out 2-deeps with ineligible players on it.
-
Where is this "official" 2-deep from? Was it handed out at practice?
-
If a certain photo from the new AC from a few months back was any indication then it will be a stacked "North Texas" in a print font.

Cue 4 page response from Plumm in 4...3...2...

How about Braskey vs. a Hurricane, but the Hurricane's name is Hurricane Braskey
-
Incentives? How about an opportunity to watch the 4 time defending SunBelt champs. How about Senior Day and the opportunity to see some great players(Branch, Bazaldua, Chris Miller, Patrick Cobbs, TJ Covington, etc...) in the last game they will ever play at Fouts.
-
People will stay away because they can simply turn on the TV and see the game on ESPN 2. That will affect attendance more than any other factor.
-
That was the quote of the year. PC sounds like a confident young man and I think that after his playing days are over he will make an outstanding coach.
-
A little SNL in there to see if y'all were paying attention. I went hunting with Bill Braskey once. He killed 2 500 lb wild boars with his bare hand. You see, his other hand was tied behind his back to make it fair for the boars. He then proceeded to make the tastiest Carolina pulled pork sandwiches I'd ever had right there in the middle of the forest.

Does anyone know if all of the late JUCO signees showed up today?

http://www.meangreensports.com/PhotoAlbum....800&PALBID=1944 Be sure to catch 4, 5, 8, & 11 for coverage on tonights newscasts!!! Is it just me, or are the uniform numbers huge this year?

The infamous photo with the new helmet designs was on the original post showing off the new AC. I guess the photo was mysteriously lost

The problem is that even the 2nd string players in the Big 12 have "Big 12 speed". We may have some fast guys on the team and an infusion of freshman with good speed but the thing that seperates us from the BCS schools is that we have 9-10 players with speed whereas UT, OU, LSU, Kansas State, etc... have 30-35 players with speed. We just don't have the depth.

The game will be on ESPN + http://www.nmnathletics.com/pdf6/17689.pdf...&DB_OEM_ID=4100

The greatest hoax of all is that Snopes itself is a hoax and all the stories on the sight are actually true.

http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle...7&Q_SEASON=2005 The athletic webite has him as a senior. I beleive he was a partial qualifier coming out of highschool which, under the old rules, means that he would have to graduate this year to have his last year of eligibility left. BTW: Is it just me or does his picture make him look way too nice and friendly to be a big mean nasty blocker?
-
This is from a highly knowledgeable AD source so I will not name names but the new helmets for this season will be: All green, all white, green with white center stripe, or white with green center stripe. Face mask will be green, white, black, or gray. Logo will be either stacked North Texas, stacked Mean Green, horizontal UNT, interlocked NT, stairstepped UNT, stairstepped NT, new eagle head, new full body eagle, new eagle claw, new eagle head, or no logo at all. This much I am sure of.

If practice doesn't start until tomorrow, what is going on with the freshman today. Are they just reporting for physicals, height/weight, orientation, etc...? Will they be conditioning?
-
Armour played O-line from 1995-1998. I believe he started all four years. He also played in the Hula Bowl after his senior season. He signed with the Colts as a free agent and was a reserve lineman for a few years. You may be thinking of Brian Waters who played tight end, fullback, and defensive end before becoming an All-Pro O-lineman for the Chiefs.

http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2005/Ask_CFN/Ask_CFN.htm Q: Can you list for us five players you think will put up impressive numbers this season, but don't have a chance to win the Heisman Trophy? – Ken A: Memphis RB DeAngelo Williams, Texas Tech QB Cody Hodges, Hawaii QB Tyler Graunke, New Mexico State QB Royal Gill, and Northern Illinois RB Garrett Wolfe. Add to the list North Texas RBs Patrick Cobbs and Jamario Thomas. Army RB Carlton Jones, Eastern Michigan QB Matt Bohnet, Rutgers QB Ryan Hart and Toledo QB Bruce Gradkowski will also have great statistical seasons and have no chance of dreaming about the Heisman. Also feel free to pick any great wide receiver and defensive player you want. It’s a quarterback/running back award.
