  6. Three students, Slim, Jim, and Bubba died and went to heaven. At the pearly gates, they were met by St. Peter, who explained that although it was late and God had retired for the evening, he had asked Albert Einstein to show them around so they wouldn't get bored before they met God in the morning. After Einstein had introduced himself to Slim, he asked, "By the way, Slim, what was your IQ when you were alive?" "159", said Slim. "Great!", said Einstein. We'll discuss my general theory of relativity and maybe a little unified field theory as I show you around." "What an exciting opportunity!", said Slim. Einstein then introduced himself to Billy-Bob, and when he was done he said, "Tell me, Billy-Bob - what was your IQ when you were alive?" "141", said Billy-Bob. "Good," said Einstein. "If you'd like, we can discuss a little mathematics and philosophy as I point out the heavenly sights." "Nothing I'd like better!" was Billy-Bob's reply. After Einstein had introduced himself to Bubba, he asked, "What was your IQ when you were alive, Bubba?" "58" said Bubba. Punching him on the arm, Einstein said, "Hey, Bubba - How 'bout them Blue Raiders!"
  7. What do you call 65 people sitting around a TV watching the New Orleans Bowl? The Middle Tennessee football team
  8. theburro, I think you're in over your head. http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2005/Pr...unningBacks.htm But I guess what cfn says really doesn't matter. The only stat that counts is NT 4(wins, conference titles, bowl games) MUTS 0(zero, nada, goose egg)
  9. Our Running Backs ARE better than Alabama's.
  10. 1st play will be a fumblerooski with Lineberry going for 20 yards to the NT 40. 2nd play will be a statue of liberty with a pass to from PC to Beau Davidson for 20 more to the MUTS 40. 3rd play will be a hook-and-ladder pass from Meager to Muzzy who will pitch to J-mo for 20 more to the MUTS 20. 4th play will be a double reverse to Johnny Quinn who will then throw back to Meager for 19 yards to the MUTS 1. DD will then run 2 consecutive draw plays and we will quick kick to catch them off guard and pin them deep.
  11. Hmmm, Those interlocked UNT designs are UGLY. It could have been ALOT worse than what we got.
  12. 2:30 left in the 4th quarter and the score is: Northwestern State 27 ULM 23

(8/31/05) – Make it 11-for-11. The North Texas (1-2) women’s soccer team defeated Texas State 3-0 at the Mean Green Soccer Complex to win its 11th straight home opener. North Texas used a strong offensive attack as they out-shot the Bobcats (0-3) 25-8 to win for the 38th time in its last 43 games at home. “I think we outplayed them from the start tonight,” said North Texas head coach John Hedlund. “We missed some opportunities but we are still looking to find that right chemistry. We have a lot of speed out there but we just need to find the right mix”. The Mean Green started the scoring off in the 35th minute when junior Angela Hawkins notched her second goal of the season from the top of the box 10 yards out. North Texas carried a 1-0 lead into the break after out-shooting Texas State 11-3 in the first half. Sophomore Heather Hutyra, who finished the night with seven shots, extended the North Texas lead to 2-0 in the first minute of the second half with her first goal of the season. Hutyra scored on a breakaway after getting a feed from freshman Kelli Lunsford. Texas State mounted their best scoring chance in the 62nd minute, but North Texas sophomore goalkeeper Kandice Ellis stopped Danielle Holloway’s shot from 15 yards out. Ellis made a career-high five saves and collected her first career shutout to pick up the win. Sophomore Dani Slavonic rounded out the scoring for the Mean Green in the 89th minute with her first goal of the season off a corner kick. North Texas returns to action on Sunday afternoon with a visit to metroplex rival SMU at 1 p.m. in Dallas
  14. http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle...0&ATCLID=182706 Soccer Looks For First Win of 2005 on Wednesday Courtesy: University of North Texas Release: 08/30/2005 DENTON (8/30/05) - The North Texas soccer team looks for its first win of the season when the Mean Green hosts Texas State in its home opener on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 7 pm at the Mean Green Soccer Complex off Airport Road. The Mean Green will then face SMU on Sunday in Dallas at 1 pm. The Mustangs enter the game ranked 10th in the central region and have started the season off at 1-1. SMU will play twice this week before facing the Mean Green on Sunday. Both North Texas and Texas State enter Wednesday's game with records of 0-2. For only the second time in school history, North Texas has started the regular season off by losing its first two games. The good news is that when the Mean Green started the 2001 year at 0-2, the team went on to win 13 games and capture the Sun Belt Conference regular season title. North Texas returns home where it has been nearly unbeatable since the 2000 season. The Mean Green is 37-2-3 at home since the start of the 2000 season, including two undefeated seasons. The Mean Green’s winning percentage at home since 2000 is .916. North Texas has dominated the Southland Conference through the years, holding a record of 20-1. The Mean Green has never lost at home to a Southland Conference team. North Texas is a perfect 5-0 against Texas State, including a 3-0 record at home. The Mean Green won the last meeting against the Bobcats in 2003, 2-0 at home.
  15. Candygram, my foot! Get out of here before I call the proper authorities. You're the shark, and you know it.
  16. 7000 posts. Wow. To celebrate, let's all call Plummer's boss to let him know how many posts he has made so he can join in the celebration as well. I am sure he will be ecstatic.
  17. Phooey on that. I will root for almost any other Belt school but not the MUTS. No way no how.
  18. 11 days until we start our quest for five in a row. Every other school in the Belt thinks that we will be de-throned and have a down year. People say it every year and we just keep on winning. I know some are dissapointed that the season will have to wait a week but I, for one, am excited that we can now focus on those MUTS. GMG!!! BEAT MUTS(AGAIN)!!!
  19. Why are we all a fussin' ana fightin' when there are MUTS to make fun of. It's high time we start directing our energy towards ridiculing the little boys from Tennessee Middle School. GMG!!! BEAT the MUTS(AGAIN)!!!
  20. Wow, that is a sad outlook on life. If people are getting water and food staples to survive until help arives that is one thing. Stealing electronics and beer is another issue entirely. What if your house is flooding and I wanted to go inside and "liberate" your tv and stereo. I mean they are just going to be ruined anyway right?
  21. It is sad that people would take advantage of this devastating situation: With much of the city emptied by Hurricane Katrina, some opportunists took advantage of the situation by looting stores. At a Walgreen's drug store in the French Quarter, people were running out with grocery baskets and coolers full of soft drinks, chips and diapers. When police finally showed up, a young boy stood in the door screaming, "86! 86!" -- the radio code for police -- and the crowd scattered. Around the corner on Canal Street, the main thoroughfare in the central business district, people sloshed headlong through hip-deep water as looters ripped open the steel gates on the front of several clothing and jewelry stores. One man, who had about 10 pairs of jeans draped over his left arm, was asked if he was salvaging things from his store. "No," the man shouted, "that's EVERYBODY'S store." WWL-TV reporter Jonathan Betz reports widespread looting and WWL-TV cameras showed people walking out of Canal Street stores with racks of clothes and electronics. Some looters concentrated on basics and supplies, while others made no secret of their desire to get what they could.
  22. Good News: Brandon survived today's roster cuts by the Lions. Better News: Defensive tackles Kevin Carberry(Ohio) and Marcus Jasmin(A&M) were cut tody. 19 more palyers will be cut by on Saturday.
  23. There is no date that we both have off except December 10 and I don't think we would schedule a game 12 days before the UNT Invitational.
  24. The only open date we have is 11/19. LSU plays Ole Miss that day. LSU can't schedule a game for 12/03 as the SEC Championship is that day. I highly doubt we would schedule for 12/10.
