DD will then run 2 consecutive draw plays and we will quick kick to catch them off guard and pin them deep.

North Texas used a strong offensive attack as they out-shot the Bobcats (0-3) 25-8 to win for the 38th time in its last 43 games at home. “I think we outplayed them from the start tonight,” said North Texas head coach John Hedlund. “We missed some opportunities but we are still looking to find that right chemistry. We have a lot of speed out there but we just need to find the right mix”. The Mean Green started the scoring off in the 35th minute when junior Angela Hawkins notched her second goal of the season from the top of the box 10 yards out. North Texas carried a 1-0 lead into the break after out-shooting Texas State 11-3 in the first half. Sophomore Heather Hutyra, who finished the night with seven shots, extended the North Texas lead to 2-0 in the first minute of the second half with her first goal of the season. Hutyra scored on a breakaway after getting a feed from freshman Kelli Lunsford. Texas State mounted their best scoring chance in the 62nd minute, but North Texas sophomore goalkeeper Kandice Ellis stopped Danielle Holloway’s shot from 15 yards out. Ellis made a career-high five saves and collected her first career shutout to pick up the win. Sophomore Dani Slavonic rounded out the scoring for the Mean Green in the 89th minute with her first goal of the season off a corner kick. The Mean Green will then face SMU on Sunday in Dallas at 1 pm. The Mustangs enter the game ranked 10th in the central region and have started the season off at 1-1. SMU will play twice this week before facing the Mean Green on Sunday. Both North Texas and Texas State enter Wednesday's game with records of 0-2. For only the second time in school history, North Texas has started the regular season off by losing its first two games. The good news is that when the Mean Green started the 2001 year at 0-2, the team went on to win 13 games and capture the Sun Belt Conference regular season title. North Texas returns home where it has been nearly unbeatable since the 2000 season. The Mean Green is 37-2-3 at home since the start of the 2000 season, including two undefeated seasons. The Mean Green’s winning percentage at home since 2000 is .916. North Texas has dominated the Southland Conference through the years, holding a record of 20-1. The Mean Green has never lost at home to a Southland Conference team. North Texas is a perfect 5-0 against Texas State, including a 3-0 record at home. The Mean Green won the last meeting against the Bobcats in 2003, 2-0 at home.

11 days until we start our quest for five in a row. Every other school in the Belt thinks that we will be de-throned and have a down year. People say it every year and we just keep on winning. I know some are dissapointed that the season will have to wait a week but I, for one, am excited that we can now focus on those MUTS. GMG!!! BEAT MUTS(AGAIN)!!!

Wow, that is a sad outlook on life. If people are getting water and food staples to survive until help arives that is one thing. Stealing electronics and beer is another issue entirely. What if your house is flooding and I wanted to go inside and "liberate" your tv and stereo. I mean they are just going to be ruined anyway right?

It is sad that people would take advantage of this devastating situation: With much of the city emptied by Hurricane Katrina, some opportunists took advantage of the situation by looting stores. At a Walgreen's drug store in the French Quarter, people were running out with grocery baskets and coolers full of soft drinks, chips and diapers. There is no date that we both have off except December 10 and I don't think we would schedule a game 12 days before the UNT Invitational.

The only open date we have is 11/19. LSU plays Ole Miss that day. LSU can't schedule a game for 12/03 as the SEC Championship is that day. I highly doubt we would schedule for 12/10.
