  1. Great news! So where does that put us in comparison with UH? I know we've been right behind them in total enrollment for the past 2-3 years.
  2. My fiance, mother, and I will be there. By the way, where is the best place to get tickets so that we ensure we are around other Meanie Greenies?
  3. TAMS is pretty well known, as it is the only program of its kind in this area of the nation (I may be mistaken). Regardless, I pretty sure we were to first to pioneer such program. The jazz studies program is consistently rated as the top in the nation (although Indiana is always close). I've heard that our other strong programs include environmental science, RTVF, business (don't know about the specific areas - I know from personal experience the accounting program is strong), graphic design, disaster plan administration, and education (of course). I can't name specific awards, but those are the programs I know I have heard very good things about. Hope that helps.
  4. I'm a CPA as well with a public accounting firm and in my 3 years in public accounting, I've also never heard any negative mentions of my alma mater. Then again, I've never heard huge praise, but where you went to school is not really a big deal at my firm. As for any company that has a policy of only hiring from the "name" universities "UT, aTm, and TT", that's one of the most idiotic hiring policies any company could have. They are just limiting themselves and their ability to truely find all the best employees they can. Just in our Dallas office in the past couple of years, our firm has hired interns and graduates from North Texas (of course), UTA, UTD, Angelo State, Prairie View A&M, UTEP, Tarleton State, UL-Monroe, and ACU. I think the best thing we can do to change perspectives (and our own inferiority complex for some) is to believe and act like we can do anything a graduate from the "name" schools with a similar degree can do. After a couple of years in the business world, where you graduated from does not matter near as much as how you perform. Just my 2 cents.
  5. Reading that thread gave me a tired head...pretty much the same insults they have hurled at us for years. I've given up on caring what the high-and-mighty SMUers think about us and our university. Their sh*t stinks the same as everyone elses. September can't get here fast enough.
  6. So according to this definition, I could substitute alumni for former inmate. BeanCounterGrad UNT Former Inmate Class of 2003 It would make for a good license plate frame
  7. What is the cost, if any?
  8. Sorry everyone...I shouldn't have added the last little comment. The post struck me as very rude and in an inappropriate place and I replied on a whim. I'll exercise more self control next time.
  9. Do you have better things to do than to go trolling on other schools' boards? If you're gonna fling insults, at least do it on a thread that is about the NT vs. SMU game.
  10. The guy who did the raincheck for me said that it was about the 50th one they had done today.
  11. I went there yesterday too and they didn't have any left, so they gave me a raincheck for the $30 price so that I can come in on Friday when they get their next shipment in and still buy it for $30.
  12. Great! I'll leave work now and go get mine.
  13. Is that only for PSP or for all systems?
  14. Haven't decided whether or not I'm going to get it. Is it much better than '06? Has anyone gotten it for PS2 yet?
  15. Like what?...Boxers or briefs?
  16. So what time do we need to be there?
  17. They were down by 9 at the half and came back to win it in overtime. I love it when the underdog wins...it keeps that flame of hope alive it me that someday it could happen to my Mean Green.
  18. If I remember correctly, Canada is very pleasant during the summer
  19. Would it be considered sacreligious if I, as a lifetime Methodist, root for My Mean Green? Oh, please God...don't smote me
  20. A large for me is correct...and go ahead and put BCG'03 on the back of my jersey. Thanks!
  21. Thought I'd see how many people caught that! Jamario Thomas has a towing capacity of 18,000 lbs.
  22. Even though she created Jamario Thomas to battle and defeat the Devil, God wishes she never created him because she now sees him as competition.
  23. Oh, yea...BCG usually wear's a large t-shirt on each arm and an extra large American flag around his torso. But give him a large for this game and he'll find a way to make it work...like he always does.
  24. I'm in too... BeanCounterGrad'03's bio: Coming into this year GMG Bowl, BCG is looking to make magic happen. In the former WWF superstar's rookie effort, he only had two catches for 385 yards, but it should be noted that he was playing with a bruised spleen. He removed it later that evening and ate it for dinner so that should not be a factor this year. In the off season he added 143 pounds of muscle to his previous 175 lb frame and grew 18" taller to top out at 7'6". Look for him to stand out and make a few more game breaking plays this year. 25. 2nd generation for me! My mother graduated with a degree in accounting while playing couple of years on the bball team (that was about the time the team was starting up). My sister just graduated in Dec. with a BS/MS in accounting just like I did 2 years earlier and my fiance is due to graduate in another year or so. It would have been all in the family had my dad gone here instead of Houston. Go Mean Green and go Coogs!
