Was it ever the case? I'd bet that "old school" (ex. Cronkite) journalism had its fair share of bias. There is just alot more media these days and we are now more perceptive of it. "And that's the way it is."

I just reading the excerpt, I see alot of bias against any kind of reform...without emotion, yes...without bias, I would disagree. Everyone/every organization has bias and the Cato Institute is no different.

I won't watch it/care about it. The Rockies are the only thing keeping me even remotely interested in MLB. I'm with Kram...can't wait for the Cup!

I just read this on my lunch break and found it very interesting. I like the perspective he puts on politics and the populace. I like to look at things from a historical perspective, so I also enjoyed the historical references. Extremism in Danger of Acceptance (Don't worry, my conservative-leaning friends...I think you'll find this to be a very neutral article.) Thoughts?

If a (reliable) poll was taken, I think you'd be surprised to see how many liberals agree with you that welfare programs should be a "temporary stop gap". Moderate liberals like myself get upset when there is talk from conservatives of doing away completely with welfare instead of putting effort into fixing it.

I'm not condoning Lettermans actions (as we know of them thus far), but when did sexual harassment become an issue? There have been no accusations of harassment from his staff or former staff (thus far). None of the female staff he's had relationships with have come out and said they felt pressured to sleep with him. Its great that you are so passionate about your hate for Letterman, but a full understanding of the situation would be helpful before laying down your public judgement and labeling of him ("womanizer" may be a better label than "sexual predator"). If you disagree, you may have a bright future with FOX News.
