  1. Its fine that you want to believe that the greenhouse effect doesn't exist based on your research, beliefs, or whatever else. However, this argument against the greenhouse effect is very ineffective in arguing your beliefs (in MY opinion). Aren't solar cycle proponents in the same (if not bigger) boat because industry stands to lose (loose?) alot more money if the greenhouse effect is eventually proven true? I'm not saying that shady things haven't happened in the greenhouse proponent camp. With such a large supporting scientific population, I wouldn't be surprised there are some bad apples. Just keep in mind that there is plenty of opportunity and motive for it to happen (if its not already happened) in the other camps.
  2. Most would say he's the curse...however, I may be one of the last ones left that wants to see how he does next season before giving him the axe. I dunno, maybe I'm just a gluton for punishment.
  3. I shut off the feed after the last interception...I watched the NBC 5 video about the stadium to help cheer me up! While I'm grateful for the close games this year compared to the last two, its just sooooooo hard to take this. Hopefully these close losses are character builders for the team and not back breaker.
  4. So frustrating!!!
  5. NT Daily Link Pretty nice write up by our school paper. Kudos!
  6. My guess...a piece of the dirt that was broken by the shovel.

  8. 68 - 49 good guys
  9. So this is what it feels like to win...been a while.
  10. Hallelujah!!! The defense has risen from the dead! (on Halloween...how ironic)
  11. Thank God for a decent offense
  12. My thoughts exactly
  13. Not exactly...correct me if I'm wrong on this, KRAM, but the Champions league is made up of teams that won (or finished close to the top of) their European leagues. The top 1-3 teams from each of the top Euro leagues (Spanish, French, German, English, Italian, Portugese, Czech, etc.) are pulled in every year to play in the Champions league. But even the Champions league champion can't call themselves world champs because they leave out leagues outside of Europe. However, its a facinating sporting event that I don't think can be duplicated by the other sports right now because there are no other rival leagues on par with the NBA, NFL, and NHL. But I do agree with KRAM's arguement: "world champions" is a bit of a stretch.
  14. Agreed...hopefully once the new athletic fee kicks in, we can at least start making ruebens and hamburgers.
  15. Who are you and what did you do with the real shaft?
  16. Count me in with this minority group as well. But hey, if repeatedly calling for the coach's head helps the others cope, who am I to judge.
  17. The pace of MLB games make the season seem alot longer.
  18. These are the two big reasons that baseball is my least favorite sport of the big 5 (soccer, football, hockey, basketball, and baseball). By nature, it is such a slow game...too much standing around, not enough action. This is only compounded by the incredibly LONG season. Do we really have to sit through 162 games to get to the exciting part (playoffs). 100 or so games would make alot more sense.
  19. Great points...this is why I'm "slow to anger" with the results we have seen from Dodge so far. I believe that's why we will definitely see him back for at least one more year. Now, here's to hoping with all hope that he turns it fully around!
  20. I believe the MAC currently has 13 members.
  21. Wait...we can take more than one turn? You're giving Michael Moore way too much credit...you sure you're not a closet liberal? Oh, he's definitely made a name for himself...recall his veiled reference to Texas seceding from the U.S.? Never heard of him...if the press did vilify him, they didn't do a very good job. At first I thought you were referencing Joe L. You did nothing to address the point I was making about conservatives vilifying moderate liberals. It goes both ways...conservatives are just doing a better job of playing "victim" right now (easy to do when you're the minority in government). Enjoy your homecoming...I look forward to pissing you off with my moderate liberalism in future political discussions. But, GO MEAN GREEN!!!
  22. BOOM ROASTED!!!!
  23. Oh! Oh! I love playing this game...my turn: This is the country that we live in today. Extreme left: Michael Moore, sloppy mess that hardly anyone pays attention to Extreme Right: Rick Perry, Gov. of Texas Scary, scary times in this country. I wish people would look at how even moderate liberals are being branded as racists, extremists, freedom haters, Christian terrorist, and just about everything else under the sun without one shread of proof to back up the claims. This should scare everyone, as if you don't agree, you could be branded just as well. Unfortunately, since their "team" is not in charge, many just choose to ignore this behavior and the danger that it brings.
  24. Glad you see it my way. Guess its all in the eye of the beholder, isn't it?
