  1. I hear ya...different strokes for different folks I guess.
  2. I know that this might give the SMU haters (of which at times I could be called) happy pants, but Norm on the Ticket thought that June Jones might be a viable candidate for the Tech job. Any thoughts on that theory? EDIT: Sorry...didn't see that this topic was already addressed in another thread.
  3. Even though it will be the last game played in Fouts? For me, personally, this will be good because I usually come down to Texas for T-giving. So I'm excited to get to see this last game! Now if I can just be assured that we won't get our asses handed to us.
  4. That Crisis Cooker looks like it would make a great addition to any tailgate
  5. I remember in the '04 election when I was still living in L'ville that I saw alot of W stickers and hardly any Kerry stickers. In that election, however, I think Bush did a good job of energizing the voters while Kerry did not.
  6. From one "usual suspect" to another: I know you're pretty excited by this as indicated by the 3 wow's you posted, but he hasn't voted with the Democrats for so long, he was already a DINO. Let him become a Republican. His voting record won't change. (EDIT: sorry...UNT90 beat me to the punch in making this point) Apparently there are other conservatives not impressed by this at all...they see it as him pulling a "Specter": (pulled from CNN.com) Griffith won his seat in Alabama's 5th congressional district last year by 3 points over Republican Wayne Parker. But the district went for Republican John McCain over Barack Obama by 23 points in the presidential election. Griffith's decision won't necessarily protect him from a GOP challenge in his conservative district. Shortly after news of the congressman's decision broke, conservative activists called for a primary challenger to take on the newly-minted Republican. "Griffith was an extremely endangered Democrat," wrote RedState's Erick Erickson. "We should now hope him be an extremely endangered Republican in a primary. We will not fix the GOP's problems if we keep allowing people who are not one of us to suddenly switch the letter next to their name and magically become one of us."
  7. Due to my better half working on her Masters, my disposable income has severly decreased and in the last 6 months or so I've started getting into the downloadable games in the PS3 store as a much cheaper alternative to PS3's standard release games. The following games that I've downloaded are able to be played online with or against one or more persons: TMNT: Turtles in Time Street Fighter II Turbo - HD Remix Age of Booty Red Baron Bomberman Ultra Fat Princess I was just curious if any of the PS3 players on this forum have any of these and would be interested some online gaming at some point. P.S. If your thinking of delving into the downloadable PS3 games for the first time, I highly recommend Fat Princess. If you can get past the somewhat offensive title, you may be pleasently surprised at how great a game it is (especially for online play). I recommend downloading the demo and trying it out. 8. Booooo!!! Pecan is da bomb!
  9. Ahh...now your avatar makes more sense. I dig those dogs...I love going to Costco to get me some Hebnat weenies.
  10. That's nice...but all I really care about is what the citizens of Uruguay think.
  11. I'd like to see a break out of the value of a few of these SWAG packages...I don't see how a few of them stay under the $500 limit.
  12. How do I go about applying for a 1 bajillion dollar loan?
  13. They said the one o'clock lounge in the student center (union)
  14. True...I'll give them a pass cause they sounded more excited about it than the SMU visit they did last week Plus, Bruce Hall was where they were set up the last time they visited campus. Danny has no excuse, though, cause he said he attended NT.
  15. Good question...I would think yes and that CUSA would still be our target. Overall, I bet this scenario would create shifts in the current non-BCS conferences to make more regional sense. Probably between the WAC and MWC and the Sunbelt and CUSA.
  16. in the student union tomorrow (12/8/09). Just announced on the ticket.
  17. Sounds great to me! How can I make this happen?
  18. Great movie...I finally saw it for the first time last weekend (how lame am I?). I pick him for my avatar specifically for this line. I figured this best reflects the state of our beloved football program at the moment.
  19. They're also scheduled to play each other the first game of the up coming season in Co. Springs.
  20. Talking World Cup on the Ticket right now. I like the draw too...very promising. My soccer weenie is at attention. I also read recently that ESPN and ABC will combine to show the Cup in its entirety. Does that mean every single game will be shown? Can't wait!!! Bash the Brits! and Go Mean Green!
  21. Mee too...supporting from my computer desk chair. (On a different topic...I've been very satisfied this year with the quality of video streaming and plan to continue using MG Premium)
  22. Exactly, it would be throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
