Time to get the offense back on track! -
We absolutely do.

Yes, I missed that one as well. Good point. Our crowds are not a deterrent from being invited to certain bowls. The setup of the system itself is. I don’t understand how some of our fans don’t understand this??

We travel just fine to reasonable destinations. Ie. Within the massive, far flung state of Texas. Actually we travel significantly better than most of our peers Our away attendance in recent years at Texas, Rice, Houston, SMU, TCU, Baylor, UTSA are all very good. We travel to all of those places in the thousands, not hundreds like you're saying. We've also had reasonable road crowds at La Tech, Tulsa, Tulane ULaLa, Ark St. in recent years.

Exactly. Our New Orleans crowds were better - although last year’s UNT contingent was still respectable - in the early 2000’s because at the time, the SBC only had 1 contracted bowl game, the New Orleans Bowl. It was easy for fans then to make plans well in advance if it looked like NT was going to win the conference. This past season was the first time where we experienced receiving a destination bowl bid when there were tons of options/scenarios on the table. After the CUSA title game, it was a pretty quick turnaround for people to make plans. I know about 10-12 people in our group happened to be unable to swing that turnaround last season. They didn’t not go on some principle about playing a SBC team or anything like that. They were literally unprepared that season for a quick turn around trip. Those folks wouldn’t have been able to do New Mexico either if that had been the bowl. All those folks have been actively following the potential bowl scenarios more closely this year as to not miss out. Part of growing up as a fan base.

Sure, but outside of them, it’s not been a murderers row so far. We’ll get a better feel where we really stack up playing teams like OU, UTA, New Mexico ect.
-
That’s pretty high praise. Freshman Jamario is the best player I’ve ever seen at UNT. He was unstoppable.

4-0 For The First Time Since 1990

Yep! Time to start stacking up those W’s. -
Great start to the season! 4-0 without Smart even stepping on the floor. There’s lots to like about this team so far.

Woolridge is such a good player.

High intensity first half for the Mean Green. Hope we can keep this up in the 2nd half. This is a very dangerous team. Can’t wait to see them in person this week. Missed the first home game travelling for work.

Gibson is balling out for the second game in a row. Already hit 12 threes on the year with 9 min or so to play in game 2. Can’t wait to see him and Smart on the floor at the same time. This team is going to be really tough to defend.

Agree. Bill Clark is gonna get paid there.

Seth Littrell has no place in larger conferences

Yes. That plus signaling to AAC and MWC that North Texas is ready for a call up. Everyone should go back and re-read that consultants report from when the AD transition took place. There is a master plan strategy behind all this. #NewDenton

UAB got 17 in the AP and 24 in the Coaches Poll. CUSA is fine.

I mean we're gonna set the all time attendance record for North Texas for the 2nd year in a row by a sizable margin. This with 2 significantly weather affected games (1 against an FCS squad). I was a little disappointed in this past weekend's showing given what had come before with SMU and La Tech, but that's a reason moving forward that we should actively avoid early kicks at every opportunity. For the most part, the fans have done their part. For the most part, the team and coaches have done their part. Things are still looking up.

They aren’t producing any more FYI. They received a cease and desist because it wasn’t authorized apparel. If you managed to get one of their original run, you’ve got a collectors item.
