3 games in 3 days with essentially 6 guys is gonna be really tough for them, as talented as they are.

What a great win! Gutty, never give up performance. Glad to witness that one in person! Can’t wait for the CUSA Tourney!

Nah! Those CBI semi finals and especially the Finals against San Francisco were among the best crowds ever in the Pit and the atmosphere was incredible. Hope we can replicate on Sunday! Love this opportunity. A wise man said, “To Be the Man, You Gotta Beat The Man”. In the SunBelt and CUSA basketball, WKU has been “the man”. Time to knock em down a peg!

It really is unreal.

Great bounce back win on the road. Pure domination. Impressive!

Charlotte 72...Western Kentucky 70

I don't think we're a realistic bubble team regardless. CUSA tourney winner will be the only team in the NCAA tournament. League wide OOC play doomed the conference earlier in the season. -
I feel like the year or two before bonus play started that there was a MTSU/WKU scenario where they both could have made the NCAA tourney if they hadn't been playing RPI killing teams down the stretch which is what happened. Bonus play is an interesting experiment but I doubt it will continue moving forward. The CUSA coaches seem to dislike it.

Great win! Put ourselves in a great position. Refreshing to have one of our major sports teams closing strong.
-
Great job weathering a 3 pt shooting clinic by Charlotte. We beat these dudes up physically. They had no answer for Zach and Geu inside. Not our best game overall but we managed to beat another quality opponent in league play. Getting prepped for the battles to come in Frisco.
-
Ahhh. Makes sense. Does the NCAA Tournament selection committee rely more heavily on RPI or NET for at large selections and tournament seedlings?
-
La Tech is 98 in NET.

Really want WKU in Denton in Pod play. That program was the standard bearer for hoops in the Sun Belt and continues to be so now in CUSA. I have immense respect for them. That said, I think we can expose them playing at home (and in Frisco). The 2nd half of the game against them earlier this year, WKU put on a clinic in hot shooting from 3. I don’t think they replicate that again.

Great team win on the road!
-
That was a really bad foul in that situation. Gotta be smarter than that.
-
Geu with a massive offensive board there. Great box out. Clutch.
-
Gotta give Mo his props for passing on the 3 ball and a big drive to the bucket. Gets both FT’s.
-
Sucks to say but Mo’s been hurting us on this road swing. He’s just not in rhythm.
-
That wasn’t a flagrant foul.
-
Nice to see Rose hit a couple threes in these last couple of games. Also, that dunk by Bell was just filthy.
-
Love road wins in league play. That’s what separates the Pod 1 from the rest. Not a good 2nd half but found a way.
-
Just an atrocious series of events. Lots of self inflicted wounds.

Boom!! North Texas lands top WR

Yep. Don't care how the sausage is made as long as it tastes great. This staff should be applauded for filling out the recruiting class with quality talent. We're at the top of CUSA and one of the top G5 recruiting classes this year. Bodes well for the future. Add a good grad transfer QB to this mix to come in and compete and we're in great shape. -
This was a really bad loss. No way to call it any different. I’m a very disappointed Mean Green fan. As others have stated - it feels like we’re cursed to not be able to sustain momentum and deliver on fan expectations. Our trademark defensive intensity just didn’t seem to be there all game. That inbounds play off the 3 pointer that cut the Rice lead down to 5 with about a minute to play was an inexcusable breakdown. You should never be able to throw and uncontested full court pass for an easy layup. Very poor situational awareness. That one sealed our fate. That said, you do have to credit Rice. They were raining down threes all game and put an immense amount of pressure on us. It never really stopped either. For as poor as we played at times - especially in regards to taking care of the ball and taking advantage of quality defensive stops on our end- we were still in the game until the very end. Going to be very interested to see how we bounce back. Several very winnable games in front of us.
