  1. Most important nugget from your recap. Thanks! Hope Seth’s assessment of the oline is accurate. If so, we’ll see the progress this season we’re hoping to see with this young team. Then next year and beyond, we’re going to be a problem for CUSA.
  2. Agreed. And now I’m thinking of that miserable game at DKR. So hot and still inside that stadium and our team looked so hapless on offense.
  3. This is the correct answer, but I’m going add to the list. Gabriel Murphy.
  4. Agreed. After last year’s debacle of a season, there should be no excuses to not see significant improvement. 6 wins at minimum. Littrell managed 5 wins his first year with what he inherited from the previous regime. There is no reason we can’t expect to at least be Bowl eligible. Hope everyone remembers and takes to heart the “This will be the last year North Texas watches bowl season from home” tweet when coach first arrived. We have to expect more than last year.
  5. Quality purchase! Respect.
  6. Thanks for the heads up. Bought one.
  7. I mean hasn’t he been since about halfway through this past season? Certainly since the La Tech game.
  8. Wow! What a sad note to start the week. The Mean Green lost a good one. Gone way too young. Got to know Cary many years ago. Bonded over Mean Green football, tailgating, sports in general, the UNT Alumni Association, 80’s music - especially our mutual love of rock/metal, and time spent living in the Chicago area growing up. Always made me jealous with his frequent trips back posting pictures of his deep dish pizza and Italian beef’s at all the joints I grew up with. I’ll always remember the fun times roaming Bourbon Street with him when UNT played Tulane the last time - 2013. Good times. Will miss seeing him at tailgating and watch parties. Great sense of humor and always brought a smile with him. Next Mean Green tailgate - whenever we get to do that again - is in your honor Cary! Rest easy my friend.
  9. Us and Western are gonna have pretty loaded rosters. Should be another fun year.
  10. I’m assuming they’re promoting the pre game events for the women’s and men’s games sequentially and separately, but who knows? Cane Rosso is supposed to be the UNTAA pre game spot before each. May not end up mattering with the recent statement from the NCAA. Looks like tournaments are headed in the no fans direction.
  11. Saw this from Ken Pom on Twitter regarding CUSA Tournament probabilities. Pretty in line with what you’d expect.
  12. The UNT women’s game is tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. Seems like a logical venue and time for a pregame meetup. What did the UNTAA do wrong here?
  13. No, the Army games were replaced by the Houston home and home series which is much better for NT than the Army series. Better quality of opponent in a conference we aspire towards, regional rival with a peer institution, and the away matchup in the series is in the metro area outside of DFW where we have the most alumni. Great engagement opportunity for the Houston area UNT alumni and super easy road trip for the rest. All that said, if we in fact lose this Cal game, it sucks big time. Gotta get on the front end of the P5 home and homes to avoid this.
  14. We have a great draw this year. Play to our capabilities and I like where this is headed.
  15. In. Bringing several with me.
  16. Yep. But it looked like we were just going through the motions.
  17. Jackson at UTSA is a great scorer. Hamlet is the better basketball player hands down.
  18. 3 games in 3 days with essentially 6 guys is gonna be really tough for them, as talented as they are.
  19. What a great win! Gutty, never give up performance. Glad to witness that one in person! Can’t wait for the CUSA Tourney!
