Gritty win on the road. So impressed with the team’s ability to stay dedicated to relentless defensive effort no matter what. Allowed us to play 17 minutes of horrific offense in the 1st half and still end up going into halftime tied. Remarkable. A true reflection of the head coach’s mentality being instilled to the team’s core.

Let’s cut a little slack here. That organization was responsible for putting on literally one of the best UNT Alumni events ever in conjunction with the Frisco Bowl less than two months ago. They have like 4 people on staff total who kill themselves to outreach and create engagement opportunities for our massive alumni base. I’m not a fan of this timing either & will be attending the basketball game that night - but scheduling events in the Fall and Spring are nightmares. You’re always stepping on some other departments events/activities.

Agreed. Along with a healthy bump in his assistant coach salary pool and assurances that when the AC expansion project is complete that the new basketball area a is the next capital project for Athletics.

So, I tracked the audio down on the Varsity app On Demand feature. I don't know if you're being intentionally alarmist as a bit or something - but I didn't get any of the "pretty clear that he will be moving on after the season" vibe from his comments overt or implied. He spent a good amount of interview time giving Hodge, his right hand assistant major props for being the architect of his defense and said "that's why we're good". It's Grant's job to pump up his guys and spin off a successful coaching tree. Hodge is going to be a HC sooner than later. Everyone knows this.

I mean, I think the Pit Crew moniker is more clever and original too - but I’m just glad to see an organized student section back no matter what the name. They bring great, much needed energy to the Pit. The rest of the crowd feeds off of them + the Pep Band. Brings back great memories of the organic Pit Crew growth in the JJ’s era. Grant and the player guests the previous two Coaches Show at Rudy’s have been telling people how much they appreciate their efforts. That’s the most important thing.

100%. The fact that Perry, Drez, Jones and Murray can all act as snipers from deep makes the offense dangerous. Ousmane and Scott sucking defenders down to the in the paint is allowing for those kick outs and ball rotations getting our best shooters clean looks.

He’s a tremendous athlete. Game on both sides of the floor.

What have you seen from our defense that would suggest a conference mate has the ability to come in here and run us out of the gym? Even when we struggle offensively, our defense gives us a chance to stay in pretty much every game. Kansas is the only game this year where I felt we looked completely outmatched. And that was early in the season.

They offer all session first through the schools. They'll open up session pricing as the tournament gets closer. You can buy sessions day of no problem.

It certainly deserved to be prioritized. That said, selfishly, I like the positive quality conversations, balanced analysis, sense of humor, and @emmitt01 seat tracking the Basketball forum provides vs. the cesspool that is the football forum most days.

Let's stop talking about the Benford disaster and focus on the basketball good times we're living in.

Everyone at that game deserves huge props. Road games with a great contingent of our fans tend to carry more sustained energy than at home. Something about banding together against the home teams fans. Could clearly hear y’all throughout the game and the fact that the camera was trained right in front of the green contingent when Perry nailed the game winner was awesome! Has made for a great social media viral clip too!
