I saw a video where Joe Greene was talking about putting the Mean back in the Green and someone must have been inspired. My high school buddy and UT fan is putting in a Fuzzy's Taco in Athens and sent me a text saying the the Mean Green won the respect of the Dawg nation and how he had to brag about being from Denton. Those are good signs for our program. I think folks remember games like that more than the script on the side of the helmets. Our team is fun to watch and I hope the folks in Denton see it and come see it.

My son said that we were trending on twitter what ever that means. When we tied the score both phones were ringing and text messages were going off. Fun stuff.

I agree. These guys have bought into the system and as Joe Greene said, we need to put the mean in the green and so for I have seen it come true. Way to go Green.

I worked for the NT Daily and got to travel with the team to Lexington, The Sun Bowl, the Astrodome and to Memorial stadium down in Austin. Loads of fun and quite a good stepping stone for me. Go Mean Green. Way to go Tim.

My friend has the same jacket from the late 70s. It was worn Saturday as well. It even has a Hayden Fry signature on the inside. Joe Greene was asked to sign but declined. Fun stuff.

I cross that bridge to go to the Red Lot. I wonder how I will need to get there now? I really liked coming from the South and being able to get to the parking lot easily. I guess I will have to cross that bridge when I come to it.

They are great. I love that the worm go on the helmet and the color scheme is fine with me. I am looking forward to seeing them run on the field and smashing Idaho.

August 31 will be a hot one indeed. It has been a while since we have had a home opener on such an early date. I am sure by game time it will be just fine as long as we win.

Played O and D Tackle for the Denton Broncos class of 1978. We lost to Odessa Permian in the play offs.

I have a UTSA on my street and even says they are going to show us the way. I fly the Mean Green battle flag and he says he is going to get one for UTSA. Fun.
