  1. I Dunno. It does give the offense a shorter field to get to the end zone. Even if they dont have great special teams.
  2. We really do need our own way to celebrate touchdown. I enjoyed the tortillas, but I also agree that it's kinds embarrasing that it is a stollen tradition. I know it has been discussed a billion or so times on the GMG, but I wish we could create something that is uniquely NORTH TEXAS. Ideas?
  3. My guess is none!
  4. I am going to have to plead the fith on the whole Cox thing. I prefer the box to the cox.
  5. So I guess the Sun Belt is not as good as the MAC? Is that what I am getting from this thread? MAC - Ben Rothlisberger SUN BELT - Damarcus Ware
  6. I guess it's true that you want you kickers to be athletic. Sometimes the kicker is the only thing standing between the return man and the endzone. You want them to be able to make a tackle.
  7. Well I see the pun now. I'd be lying if I said I intended it.
  8. So the AD handles merchandise sales as well? Boy, he does have a lot of hats.
  9. The Punter excelled in conditioning drills? When I played ball, I was a punter. All I had to do was kick the ball.
  10. Some guys just have a nose for the game. From all the reports, it sounds like Vizza is the type that responds to the crowds and the pressure. He sure looked good in the state championship game. San Antonio Alamo Heights pulls in some pretty good crowds at their games. He is used to playing in front of a full house.
  11. I'm not a Dolphins fan (GO Cowboys), but I would watch the Miami games if PC made the team and had a chance at some gametime.
  12. Any game in Denton. I look forward to seeing some larger crowds at Fouts this year. I am hoping that we can create a real home field advantage for these guys.
  13. That always makes me chuckle. I love it when David beats Goliath.
  14. Our side of the coin: Making sure that Fouts is full at each of the home games?
  15. Anything we can do to get PC some positive publicity can only help his making the team.
  16. My thoughts exactly. I'm with you 100%.
  17. I guess I missed the dis on NT. I think they just want to see how their QB's play in a game to decide on the starter.
  18. The point was that we have had a donor in the past declare that he would no longer donate to the program because they disagreed with descisions made by the program.
  19. Who the best QB might be is usually an opinion. We have not had the luxury of someone seperating themselves as the clear "best" choice. Let's hope Meager or Vizza or whoever makes it totally obvious who the best choice is.
  20. RE: Jim MacInvale - Mattress Mac
  21. No mention of them preparing for North Texas. Is it too much to hope that they look right past the NT game? If lighting strikes, maybe we could surprise them. If they are looking at the NT game, lets hope they are preparing for the Buick, not our new Dodge.
  22. Dodge is big on the "this team is a family" thing. You know what happens to people who mess with the family. They end up getting banished or if your really bad, you might get a big surprise the next time you start your car. Don't mess with the family.
  23. I'm hoping for Vizza as well. I've seen enough of Meager. He will be hurt by the 4th game anyway. Might as well start the young guy and get him some experience. He seems to have a good understanding of the offensive scheme. Did Scott Hall start his Freshman year?
  24. I had the same thought. Unfortunatly there are a lot of NT students and Alumni like him.
  25. 1991 NT at OU. I think we got beat 40-2. We blocked an extra point an ran it back the distance. I also think we had a 3rd down quick kick in that game. It was a long day. I hate "Boomer Sooner."
