Coach Dickey is just "keep'n it real". While I'm sure DD would tell you that it is not recommended that you use foul language, I am equally sure that the players don't think twice about hearing curse words at a footbal practice.

I don't want to discredit what BIG DAWG posted, but I too thought Phillips looked a little sharper. If he had connected on that long pass down the center of the field to Muzzy, there would be no discussion on who had the better day.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm not much of a risk taker. Denton to Baton Rouge is a long drive without a ticket to the game, but if I have to i will risk it.

Are there still tickets available for the LSU game? I have had a change of plans and can now attend the game. I need a ticket. I can drive to Baton Rouge the day of the game (leaving very early) if any one needs a ride - providing I can land a ticket.

NT vs. Memphis That would be great! I would love another shot at them. Even so, they were great fans who seemed to really enjoy the game. Hope this happens.

I am not a fan of alternating QB's either. I'm just going off of how many snaps they both seem to get today. Phillips is a lot thicker than Meager. I hope that translates into durability. Could be wishful thinking. Meager would be the prefered choice because he is more mature than Phillips. Whatever it takes to win...I think that's the way to go.

They were spraying some starch on it and ironing the wrinkles out.

I feel better about Meager and Phillips after the scrimmage. Both threw some nice balls that we simply dropped or the timing was off. They were under a lot of pressure early and worked through it. I think they will be the 1 and 2 QB's. I bet Phillips get plenty of playing time this year.

Have we been ranked any higher than this in recent memory. This is great that we are getting in the top half of the rankings. Win a few games early in the season and we will move up from there. It's all green and it's all good. I am so pumped for football season. It can't get here fast enough.

We have it from a very reliable source that the 50 yrd logo will be the swooping eagle. Painted on (rather than cut and pasted like the end zones) with a new stencil recently purchased be the athletic dept. It can be touched-up or repainted or even removed at any time.

I think it is very important that NT promote the heck out of Cobbs and Thomas for two reasons: 1. No one else is going to spend the money to promote our players. The more hype that we create, the more attention that pro scouts will give these guys. This attention is good for the whole program. We put guys in the NFL and we can recruit better. 2. All the worry and speculation about how long J-Mo stays at NT before he transfers to another school. If Jamario feel at home here and we promote him and show him the love he deserves he will have no reason to look elsewhere. Other major schools spend a lot of money on drawing attention to their "big time" players. It is far past time that NT spend a few dollars on the players in what could arguably be the best stretch in NT football history. GMG

I want a green hat with the new eagle in white. The option of the full "in flight eagle" or the eagle head would be nice. The new logo's have really grown on me. I think they are something that we can identify with for a long time.

Sportsline actually had this updated a week or two ago. Appearently our SID is getting the word out. I would love to see that new logo in the center of Fouts.

According to Bill Parcells, this could ruin a young QB (appearently, Drew Henson and Tony Romo still in the QB prep school). If you set him up to fail, you can ruin his confidence. While I think this mostly bunk, there may be something to it. Who's gonna argue with Big Bill?
