Yes Master...is that all we can do for you? We just want to be worthy to be able play you. The SEC...oh, that's right, you are in the frickin' WAC, yet another non-BCS conference, just like the Belt. You know, I think we have been pretty gracious and courteous to you, and all you have been is an obnoxious jerk there guy. Is there REALLY that big a difference amongst us non-BCS schools? Not really...we are not an LSU, OU, USC, etc. Let's just accept the fact that after the Top 50 teams...which you guys are not, it really is almost a crap shoot as far as who is better. The SB and NT are NOT here to serve you dude!
-
MAN...why did you have to go and do that!?!? Now I am truly depressed about our stadium situation. You are right...I could have sworn that second picture was Fouts. I thought you were using it as a reference point for comparison until I realized that it was not Fouts. Pretty impressive HS football stadium, though. I WANT OUR NEW STADIUM TODAY!!!
-
My back yard is probably big enough...but it is @ 18 Hours away!
-
OK Plumm...you win. This is the LONGEST post I have ever seen on this Board! Do we have an award for Longest Post? We should...and this one would win, for sure!!!
-
Off ASU's Board: "QUOTE (JSinLR @ Jun 27 2005, 09:57 AM) ULM's Stadium is not that bad...at least you can see the field good. UNT has the worst stadium in the SBC...so far...have not seen FIU or FAU stadiums and they could possibly be be worse than UNT. ASU, MTSU, ULL, & Troy all have nice stadiums. I agree the stadium at North Texas is a joke. However I will trade stadiums for their record any day. JMOFO" OUCH! That hurts. But, yes, I would rather have a winning record than a beautiful stadium. But wait! Can't I have both. Is that too much to ask????
-
Did anyone expect Troy to finish second in the SB...losing not once, but twice to SB teams????
-
You should be so proud. My daughter is 3 and my son is 18 months, and they already are true Mean Green fans. I do not want them to go away from home for college...but going to NT would be alright!
-
Man, I LOVE that clock. Where can you order one?
-
I did the same, as I listed them both starting RBs. The real question is if they will be in the same backfield together, or if they will just spell each other.
-
1st Team...Second String...Third String...etc.
-
La Mo, huh. YOU BASTARD!!!

I would give my right kidney, my next born, my... OK...I wouldn't do THAT, but I would REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY like him to be able to play this year. P.S. Was that enough really's??? Did I sound pathetic enough? -
SAY IT ISN'T SO!!! I thought Max's son would have done real well for us...

I think it is difficult, at this point, for any of us to even appreciate the affect Cobbs spelling Thomas, or Thomas spelling Cobbs will have on our gameplan and on opposing defenses. I like the prospect of either a fresh JT or PC out on the field at all times. Oh, BTW, hopefully they both can spell V-I-C-T-O-R-Y often this year!!!
-
Sounds like we are definitely gaining more respect. I believe even two years ago it would not have been like this, with these type of responses. Yes, C-USA would be nice. Building the Belt would be nice too. I am happy where we are as long as we keep growing and, more importantly, keep winning!

"Beat the BCS in Baton Rouge Sept. 3rd!!!"
NCMeanGreen replied to Green Grenade II's topic in Mean Green Football
Ohhh...I thought NT was one of the five for a second there! -
YES!!!!!!!! That is the ULTIMATE! I would kill for a stuffed pizza from the Flyin' Tomato right now. We do not have anything like that here. That is still my favorite pizza, and always will be.
-
I have no further comment, since I agree with everyone. The thing that gets me is that I have been on Troy's board, FAU's board, MUTS board, etc. and have seen several comments where the SB stinks, we need to get out, we are floating this league, etc. If anyone would be able to say such things it is UNT. But, you know what, I can honestly say that we are humble, and realize the opportunity that we do have in the SB. It is not the best Conference (it is, however, better than the MAC...so I am confused, for one thing, why Selig would rather be in the MAC than the SB), but it is getting better. If we hang in there, and do stay in the SB, I think you will see in several years more national respect and the acknowledgement that we are a good conference and can compete with the best of 1A. I just get sick of all the grandstanding, the SB bashing, the hypocrasy, the ignorance, etc. BUILD THE BELT...GO MEAN GREEN!!!

2004 attendance averages-Non BCS Conferences
NCMeanGreen replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
Good point. I find it hard to believe that the WAC is doing much better than us. As soon as Boise State and Fresno State fall down a few pegs, and they will, nobody in the WAC will replace them and they will fall below the Belt. -
How far off is Patrick from the record?
NCMeanGreen replied to emmitt01's topic in Mean Green Football
...or first... -
Heads will roll in Baton Rouge, mainly...
NCMeanGreen replied to Green Grenade II's topic in Mean Green Football
VERY well put. That is what this season is all about. Does anyone really expect us to beat LSU and K-State? Hell no. BUT, we will get MUCHOS National respect if we beat La Tech and Tulsa. Those two games will get us over the hurdle... -
I kept my drinking cup and have some left over nachos from the 2001 victory over NMSU...if anyone is interested.

Who Will NORTH TEXAS Beat By The Largest Margin
NCMeanGreen replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Yeah...right when the SB race starts! That is the point, though. We need to win those early season OOC. I think some sports writers are getting numb to us smacking the Belt each year...
