  1. According to Chris Jackson, Media Relations Director for the SB, the game will not be moved. I sent him a message asking if it would, and this was is response: "You are correct in that I will not comment on that until Media Day, but that game has not been moved. The MTSU-UNT game continues to be on September 10. cj" 'course...this does leave the door open. I sort of hope it is, though. It looks like I might not be able to make the game afterall...so seeing it on TV would be cool!
  2. KOREY! KOREY! KOREY!
  3. I think Micah West is the key loss here...
  4. Jimmy cracked corn...
  5. I sent the gentleman a thank you note...
  6. My sentiments exactly. I mean, how disrespectful is that???? I believe Dylan was the only SB player listed and one of the only few (if only) non-BCS player listed. Disappointing... Also, it seems like Phil Steele is really hedging is bets on that NT-MTSU game. If we win...we win the SB. If they win...they win the SB.
  7. I, too, think our D-Line might be better than last year. AA was good (drafted by the NY Giants and all), but he wasn't great like a Brandon Kennedy. Also, Michael Pruitt was a bit overrated. These guys have a chance to develop into a real powerful force. Also, I cannot wait to see how some of these new faces play. There are so many new faces, even with the Frosh from last year, playing that it seems like a new team altogether. Can't wait...
  8. You know...never looked at it from that perspective. I understand that a UNT showing early interest may alert other, bigger programs to a possible good recruit. However, some players may have a tendency to remain loyal to the schools who showed first interest in them. I am faithful to the Mean Green...but what would you say if OU might show some interest early on, and then NT comes along in January and says "hey...come on over here". Hey...maybe the grass is greener on the other side, though... Get it? We're the Mean GREEN!
  9. We are all damned to hell...
  10. Last year I called up the Athletic Office and they sent me one. Cost me $10, though...
  11. Nah...the arm was ripped out of the socket, lacerating most of the tendons, requiring 10 hours of surgery, doubtful he will ever get any feeling back... BUT...it was NOT his throwing arm, so he will be just fine!
  12. PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE...do not start another thread about yet another player who might be ineligible!!! I think you're right, though. I ran into someone who know's Dylan and he said he might not be eligible.
  13. What the...!!! What does THAT have to do with the price of tea in China??????
  14. OK...I am NOT paying that much to play QB, though. I can give them 8 and a quarter to play...
  15. Definition of "MOOT": moot - Unsettled or undecided. SO, apparently it is an arguable point, and open for discussion. You are correct, sir!!!
  16. Can you take a RS year just based on grades? Isn't that, in a way, rewarding you for being stuipid????
  17. I live in NC, and have asked several people who grew up here...no one has EVER heard of UNCC and "Mean Green" before. As a matter of fact, when I talk about the "Mean Green", most people assume I am talking about NT, which is pretty cool.
  18. He can't...and it sounds like we do not want TCU's leftovers anyway. We are ok...don't worry...
  19. ALLLLLLLLLRIGHTY then! Guess we should just close up shop, and call it a day then...
  20. True. And it is also true that it does not matter what talent you recruit...but how you utilize that talent. We recruit good talent that seems to fit in nicely with our system. I think the results are self-eveient, no?
  21. Korey Washington...Steve Warren...you do what you have to do...
  22. If Byerly IS ineligible...who plays now? If Daniel Meager gets injured (again)...who plays? What about all those good QB's (Korey Washington, Steve Warren) we recruited? JUCO transfer?
  23. What!?!?! Jim's Diner is gone? Man, all the hang-outs are gone. Are Cool Beans and Rip Rock's still there? I know the Pickup is gone...
  24. I don't know if I would go there. Their stadium is not bad (a HECK of a lot better than ours), and looks expandable. Even when we get our nice, new state-of-the-art stadium theirs would still be comparable. But, it does appear as if we are a step-up from them. In five years, however, it looks like most of our schools will be at least comparable to other conferences' schools as far as facilities. MTSU, Troy, and NT all have world-class facilities right now.
  25. I agree...the Horseshow would be a great option. I have a client in Shreveport and have stayed there @ 12 weeks in the past year. The Horseshoe is great...good gambling and GREAT food. The buffet is the best I have ever had...and that is including the several I've experienced in Vegas.
