  1. OK, SilverEagle, I give. Please tell me who this Bill Brasky is that I have read so much about...
  2. What????!!? Well...it is supposed to be the "King" of all Texas Stadiums!
  3. Yeah, but he was recruited by Minnesota as a DB because of his speed. We will definitely have a few options here over the next several years.
  4. 6-1, 380 pounds...man, that's big!!!
  5. Hey...what about OUR TV schedule? I know we have an ESPN2 game (Troy), but I keep hearing about all these other SB schools and their latest TV games, and have not seen the same from us. Not trying to be pompous...but you think the 4 time repeating conference Champ would get the most, if not at least the same, as many TV games. I think I may like this ESPNU thing, as for people like me who do not get the regional games will now get offered some more gamnes to watch. I thnk I already have @ 4 SB games that I can watch on ESPNU. That will be pretty cool...
  6. What's he gonna say, "Yeah, our OL stinks...and our receiving corps couldn't catch a pass with stickum' sprayed all over..."
  7. 1. Win more OOC games (Tulsa, La Tech, etc.) 2. Attendance AT LEAST @ 25K consistently 3. Football Stadium Not necessarily in that order, either, as each will help feed the other...
  8. I agree. How can you include one non-BCS back and not the other. I know DeAngelo is a good back, has more exposure (experience) than JaMo, probably will be drafted decently (analysts like him a lot), but he seems to be treated differently than other non-BCS talent of the same caliber. Did I just contradict myself????
  9. I'll see what I can do...
  10. You guys certainly have had some seriously strong OOC schedules in the past. You also have had some good games, like TAMU a few years back. Too bad you did not win that one!
  11. My bad! I actually meant Early...not Mendoza! Good catch...
  12. I would like to see if PC really does get several touches in different facets of the game...running, catching, KR, PR, etc. His NFL stock will be improved if he can become a true utility type of player. He may only make it to ST in the NFL, but that salary will still be good.
  13. I would anticipate Thompson to start...and for Mendoza not to. But, it is so hard to tell in this case. I wish we were this loaded at EVERY position!
  14. This may just force RV out...
  15. How about the Eagle Sound...just pump up the speakers real loud! My mama always used a cow bell for my brother and I...that worked just fine!!!
  16. Well...this will be the true litmus test of how far we have come in our athletic department maturity. If we are to truly focus on this, then we have done well. If it falls by the wayside again, well, that says a lot as well. IMHO, seven years should have been enough time to install a new attitude. If it has been forced, maybe that is how it should be. As the saying goes, "You can lead a horse to water..."
  17. It is really in their best interest not to cancel this game. It seems like quite a few DFW players have played for the AF Academy, and this is a good area for them to market themselves in...
  18. I was recently cleaning out my closet and found the Phil Steele 2003 magazine. It had Joey Byerly listed as a 6'4" 215 lb...Defensive Lineman!!! SO...everyone wants to rant about how at least he was a TRUE quarterback, and the likes of a Korey Washington or Steve Warren were not recruited to play QB. I will entrust the QB duties to a DB anyday over a DL or DE!!! This may have been printed incorrectly...but if it is correct, then that is pretty interesting.
  19. Based on your 'Message Board Posting' thread...I will not be overly critical...
  20. That seems to be fairly consistent with what all the pre-season mags are saying... Thank you for the analysis...
  21. Hmmm...I thought he missed his Senior season as well. I sincerely hope I am proven wrong. I just want soooo badly to beat MTSU. Doesn't everyone realize how serious this game is for us? And for them? That is why I, like a lot of others, are worried about this game. MTSU has but one mission this year, and that is to beat NT! I cannot believe that a football team's major mission is to beat us; I remember when a three win season was good for us, and now teams are gunnin' for us!!!
  22. Uhhhh...I think people are focusing on his injuries. The fact that the boy does not seem to be very dependable and/or durable. What good will that do for us if we name him starter, and he gets beat up at LSU or MTSU and cannot start for the remainder of the year. I do not care if you have 4.2 speed if you cannot walk! My concern is his history of being injured. Why do you think that Va Tech, USC, and whoever else passed on him? Why do you think he ended up at NT? WE should have the same concerns as the other programs who looked at him. I say forget Meager...take our chances on one of the other possible QB's, and hope they are a stud and turn out to be good. Iknow, I know, injuries could happen to anyone at anytime. But, again, Meager just does not appear to be very durable...
