  1. Thanks for the heads-up! That is expensive, however. I think Mean Green fans would be better served to send that $$$ (almost $20!!!) to the Athletic Dept., stadium fund, Mean Green Club, etc. GO MEAN GREEN!!!
  2. Is Texas A&I another name for Texas A&M - Kingsville???? Obviously ESPN does its research on Wikipedia!
  3. Yes...my mistake, thank you for the correction!
  4. Craig James played at Celina...
  5. I am a Director for a business consulting firm based in Raleigh, NC responsible for directing our implementation-based services. I also dabble in real estate a little as well, mostly rental property.
  6. Ken Lay Or.... Tim Conway???
  7. YES...HE...IS.. UNT Head Coach
  8. ...but I do love everyone on this Board...thanks for making it so fun to be a Mean Green Fan!!! BTW, are we going for a record with this thread!?!?!
  9. Didn't we get a "sneak peek" at the "new uniforms" during the FAU game this past season??? Seriously, I agree that it is not really up to us. Look at everyone's opinions and arguments, I am not confident the powers that be will ask for GoMeanGreen's assistance in this manner!
  10. No, you are not. He is small, a bit under-sized for Div I-A...
  11. Well...the SB has one really good game, and one really bad game. Central Michigan was a really good team this year, though. Overall, I think they picked the match-ups wrong. It seems that there are a LOT of ranked teams going up against a lot of unranked teams. BTW, is anyone looking forward to the UCLA/FSU game? UCLA SHOULD kill them...but this is college football and anything can happen on any given "Saturday".
  12. Nevermind: ATTENDANCE: 24,791, from ESPN
  13. BTW...anyone know the attendance numbers for the NO Bowl this year????
  14. OK...so under the same logic, would that be a demotion to leave, say, being the head coach at USC, or UT, or FSU, or UF (take your pick) to become the head coach at the Houston Texans of the NFL????? My point here is that the NFL is still the next level up, and even if you are leaving the BEST college team to coach the WORST NFL team it is still the next level up, a new challenge, and (more importantly here) NOT a demotion. Look at Steve Spurrier...
  15. AWESOME...THANKS!!! I like both helmets on the right...from the top and bottom. I hope we do change our helmets, and to something new and exciting like these designs.
  16. Makes you wonder how they lost like that to UAB...
  17. Picky, Picky...I think it is awesome just the way it is. I appreciate all of the posters that have these artistic talents, and enjoy sharing with the Mean Green Nation. THANK YOU to all of you...
  18. Oooooooooooo...that is SAAAWWEEEEETTTTT!! I LOVE that...that's the one. Have I said that I LOVE that helmet???
  19. Seems like a good hire for TD and NT. What about some of the other SLC coaches? There was talk of several of those coaches to come over to the NT staff. Anyone have the scoop on any of those coaches and if they would be good. Anyone concerned about the staff being comprised of so many HS coaches. A proven HC is one thing, but off. coord., def. coord., etc.???? Just curious what everyone else thought...
  20. What we currently have stinks. I liked the "North Texas" script we had for a few years better than the current crappy script/ We need to make a change, and do it now. I really like the new eagle on the helmet best, I think. Even a white helmet would look ok with the new green eagle.
  21. You know what's depressing??? NT has no committs on the Rivals list...NONE! They have ranked only 110 schools...and NT is not on that list because a school has to have at least one player committ to make it. You know who did make that list????...ILLINOIS STATE!!! Hopefully TD will get this thing turned around. A sleak, smooth, running DODGE is better than a boring, old, BUICK any day!!!
  22. We have already offered Bradley Haynes a scholarship, so it is up to him now. Signing TD as HC might help him in that decision, though... It is going to be exciting to get some really good QB recruits in here for a change. It is almost like the old regime felt like a good RB and good O-line could do it all. But, to be fair, we did not run a wide-open style of offense. The "Buick" could of cared less who was back getting the ball from center.
  23. The field itself??? Did we not just replace our field with that synthetic grass system? I was able to attend the FAU game, and the field looked pretty darn nice to me...
  24. I have been hearing and reading quite a bit about the "fact" that Southlake Carroll has better facilities and bigger crowds at the games than UNT does. Now, it has been a good number of years that I have lived in Texas...and I actually went to HS in the state of MD (football not NEARLY as big a deal there like in TX). But, we are still talking about HS football here. Can you actually tell me that we are in that bad of a situation that a HS program reigns king over a D-IA football program? You mean to tell me that a HS has land and buildings that can even compare to what we have at the Athletic Village???? I do not mean to be so sensitive, it just seems like it is such a pervasive and perpetual argument. Is there a valid argument here? What is the deal here???
