I think you are missing his point here. Do you honestly believe that Appalachian State University has superior athletes over Michigan? No, there are many factors to a football game...and it was just their day to win. One of those factors is coming into the game with the mental attitude that you ARE going to win, even if you opponent may be ranked higher than you. That is just a fall-back and a crutch to state that your opponent is "a marvelous" athlete and, therefore, it is not your fault when you get your butts handed to you. The fact is, there is NO excuse for a defeat of that nature. App State has reset the bar...sorry, but using the excuse that a team was bigger or faster than you is no longer a valid excuse. Once they started pounding on Michigan, they realized the Wolverines were human too...not super heroes like we made OU out to be!!! Now, let's just move on from this and focus on beating SMU. GO MEAN GREEN!!!

Man...finally! Not bad, I just wish they would schedule some Mid-Atlantic games more often. I REALLY enjoyed going to that Charlotte game last year. It was quite an experience for me, and I really enjoyed watching the team play.

Yeah, I saw twice where he got popped pretty good, and he absolutely turned and started running in the wrong direction...at least until he got slammed to the ground by defenders...

ENOUGH of this already...LET VIZZA START!!! I think we all have had enough time seeing what 'ol Meager can do. Will he surprise us when he starts against SMU...will he all of the sudden be the QB we have not seen yet??? I seriously doubt it... Vizza looked impressive. Did he make mistakes...heck yes...but he looked GOOD doing it, and he has me excited about what the future holds. Meager...not so much... (before everyone jumps on me, especially the Meager lovers, yes I agree he played A LOT better than I/we expected. He had a decent game against OU...Vizza just looked more like our future)

Well, by score it looks like the ponies are doing better against TT than we did against OU. However, TT is no OU. I will say that we will have to play A LOT better to beat SMU, though. They have certainly done enough thus far in this game to make me nervous. But, I do think that if we can get the offense going, and the defense plays better than we do have a shot at it.

Vizza should start over Meager. Period.

The interesting thing is, all of the research I have done on the kid suggests that Roman is a for real player. However, it does remain to be seen how he does adjust to the speed of FBS (formerly Div IA). I mean, I can imagine the game is much slower in JUCO than against the likes of OU. But, I am sure that TD must have seen something in him. I, too, would like to know what happened to Dominique Green??? I was really excited about this kid when we recruited him, and thought he was progressing well.

No offense, and I really do not mean to insult you, but that is ridiculous. No coach should be given 4 years to make a team competitive. That is crazy talk! (sorry...that might have been a little insulting, and I apologize) Honestly, I agree that we should give TD a pass on this game, but a coach worth his salt will play the cards he is dealt, as in take the kids he currently has, and make them competitive. I do not mean beat the likes of OU, the #8 team in the nation, but make it respectable. Hell, we would not be having all of these threads if we had kept them below 40 and we scored a time or two. 35-3...35-7...even something like that would have been respected. But 79 points!!! (or, has it gone up some more since last count???) Sorry, I believe in the Mean Green...I do. But I am also realistic...we got out coached, and looked quite pathetic in several areas. Can we improve enough to beat SMU, be competitive in the SB? Last I checked, those other conference brethren did quite well this past weekend. No, we do not have 4 years...we need to do it (be competitive) now with what we have. BTW...Vizza really knows how to throw a football. It was a real pleasure watching him. I especially like that long pass to the sidelines (I think it was his second series in), the ball was not caught, but it really was a perfect throw and the sweetest spiral I think I have ever witnessed. I was out throwing with my daughter tonight, and tried to throw like that. Boy, he really does have some mad skills! GO MEAN GREEN!!!

Look...the OU game was a shock. We did not really know what to expect...but I am fairly certain THAT was not it. However, we are all bleeding Mean Green, and will all hang in there. From what I saw and heard, those players did not back down...nor should we. GO MEAN GREEN!!! BEAT SMU!!!
