THANK YOU...that has been my point all along. TD is a HS coach!!! He is not able to translate to the college game. In HS you can get away with not having good linemen by compensating with great athletic talent at the skills position. You CANNOT get away with this in college. EVERY team has great skills and athleticism!!! IF ONLY having the most WR recruits in the nation counted for anything...

Um....because we suck and we can use all of the help we need! RD probably is the most talented and athletic player we have. Most of those other kids couldn't even DREAM of playing for Texas...

So, the Tulsa game just came to the end of the 3rd Qtr...and (GASP!) Tulsa is up something like 49-13. I do not care where you come from...that is an ass-whoopin!!! I am confident that by the end of the game, Tulsa will have scored 60 or more points on us...and we MAY get 3 or 7 more points. SERIOUSLY...CAN TD COACH AT THIS LEVEL??? WAS POOR RON MENDOZA (NOT THAT I DISAGREE WITH HIM BEING FIRED) JUST A SCAPE GOAT?????? As a NT alumn, I am truly embarrassed. THANK GOD for Army, or we DEFINITELY would be the WORST team in I-A. Heck, I am QUITE confident many I-AA teams would beat the snot out of us. I thought thus fancy-dancy offense was supposed to score points??? We have like, what, 20 points on the season thus far!>!?!?? The two games together (even before the end of the Tulsa game....and PLEASE come to and end soon!!!) is something like NT 20, everyone else 100. That is PATHETIC!!!! Oh, but TD is a TEXAS HS FOOTBALL GOD!!! RIGHT??? Well, who GIVES A CRAP!!! Look at his performance thus far? Really, what has he done for this program????? I am truly embarrassed...I am tired of us getting are arses beat by EVERYONE. Can we not compete AT ALL????? Further...looks like the rest of the Sunbelt is doing ok. They are PASSING US BY!!! Even FIU (who sucks just as bad as us, but will definintely beat the snot out of us) will most likely turn it around as they can recruit in Florida. Oh, and forget the stadium...who the hell would want to support this program????? HOW FRICKIN' PATHETIC!!! (Have I said that yet???) Someone had BETTER have some tough questions for TD. I KNEW hiring a damn HS football coach was a BAD idea. I don't care of he has a couple state championships...WHOOPDI FRICKIN' DO!!! The dude CANNOT coach at the college level! AND...he sure did get showed up by another Texas coach. BUT, the only difference is TG has been a proven winner and CAN coach at the college level. THIS COLLEGE NEEDS A PROVEN COLLEGE COACH!!! Heck, Sothlake Carroll would be too embarassed to admit it ONLY has 3,500 presale tickets for their next game!!!

....if we have another game that is "a difficult one to swallow" (as Harry put the KSU game) against Tulsa...how many of us will start to question TD a little more? Would that not be fair? He seems to get pass after pass...when is it time for the hard questions for our HEAD football coach? For instance (and not to beat a dead horse since there is a whole entire thread on this subject), why did we let up against KSU? And...can he honestly say he did that so it WOULD NOT GET OUT OF HAND!??! 45-6 is not out of hand? (Well, I guess compared to OU last year it is not)...but he got a bye on that game as well didn't he? HE didn't schedule the games...the talent level is not his fault...injuries...<insert excuse here>... STOP WHINING AND COACH SOME FOOTBALL!!! One other thing...tell me why so many players are leaving this program??? Is that in and of itself not concerning???

...ooorrrrr, put a quality product on the field with an offense that can produce some points (I'm sorry...did I just miss the "vaunted" soread offense TD is "famous" for???) and a defense that doesn't leak like a sieve!!! If you compare us to other IA (FCS, whatever) programs then we are the worst. Condsider these scores: 1. Jacksonville St, 14 - GT, 41 - Could we produce 14 points against an ACC school! And Jacksonville State is not even a IA school! 2. Vanderbilt, 34 - Miami of Ohio, 13 - Non-BCS team (whom we should DEFINITELY be able to compete against) put up 13 against an SEC school and only allowed 34 points (OK, 34 might be a little high, but still...) 3. Charleston Southern, 7 - Miami, 52 - OK, 52 is a lot of points...but could WE score a touchdown against Miami?? Are you certain about that??? 4. South Dakota State, 17 - Iowa State, 44 - An unknown scoring 17 points against a Big 12 team. DOUBT we could score 17 on ISU! 5. SMU, 27 - Rice, 56 - Man, Rice looked GOOD. Be worried about them...doubt we can hang 27 on them. I am sure we can keep it under 56...right!??? 6. App State, 13 - LSU, 41 - Have we scored 13 combined on LSU ever??? And, please, do not tell me how good ASU is...I hear it every day. They would SPANK us my friends!!! 7. WKU, 13 - Indiana, 31 - Good for them! 8. VA Tech, 22 - ECU, 27 - And VA Tech was ranked 17th in the nation!!! I would LOVE to be to the point where ECU is. They would spank us, too! 9. UNC, 35 - McNeese St, 27 - We don't play McNeese State any time soon do we??? 10. W. Illinois, 24 - Arkansas, 28 - What was the score the last time we played Arkansas??? But, we got at least 24 points, rigjht!?!?
