Sorry...flame me if you want...but that was just stupid. Everyone knows how difficult it is to make it in the NFL...ask Johnny Quinn. Quite frankly, and no offense to him especially considering that I have been so impressed by him from day 1, it is truly amazing what Patrick Cobbs has been able to do in the NFL. PC seems to be one of the truly lucky ones...and there are not many. BUT TO TAKE YOUR OWN LIFE??? What a SELFISH act!!! I am certain his friends and family would have not thought any differently of him. I am certain that this fine young man would have been a highly productive member of this society. Tragic? Yes. But so senseless...

OK...this kid is a little excessive! Did you see that 4th or 5th clip on the video where he hit the WR so hard his helmet popped off!??! Do we really want that kind of overly aggressive player playing for us? Other teams will not want to play us if we have mean kids like this playing for us...

No, the standard, quite frankly, should have been the expectation of another SB Championship by year three of the TD era. I have not implied the declaration of a "standard" for season 3, nor shall I so boldly assume (and based on such evidence as I have seen this season) that we increase our win total from 1-2 to 6-7!!!

How many NT alumni live in the DFW metroplex? We played an old rival in NMSU on Saturday...and had less than 4000 in attendance??? We should be embarassed! I live in Raleigh, NC (NC State/Davidson drew 12,000), so cannot attend many NT games...but I always do attend when I am in town either on business or personal. So, how many NT grads live in the DFW area that can attend games??? I was looking at some of the other box scores...and our attendance was nothing to be proud of. Are the students back in school, or still on break? I went to the UNC-Charlotte game a couple of years ago (REALLY enjoyed that game, btw)...and they had @ 7000 people watching that game.

Well, that is a good point...although I am certain many of us thought we were getting an innovative offensive mind. Maybe that is the problem, there was a gross assumption that TD could bring a unique product to UNT? Maybe our naivete' got the better of us, no?? So, this is where we are at, namely hoping a coach who brought a lame-duck product...who is in over his head...who does not have the experience enough to know where to go from here...with all of his HS experience...can bring something "fresh" to College Football??? Naive???

You know, this is one of the best posts I have seen all year, because it sums up the situation so succinctly it is ridonkulous. I am a proud alumnus, but the apathy at UNT is truly pathetic. How many people really care...considering a school of this size??? Certainly not the administration...

I had meant to post something about Howerton myself after watching the Jackson State game. He only played 2 minutes in the game, and that was 2.5 minutes too long. He plays nervous (like he just not sure what to do out there)...cannot get a rebound (even matched up against someone half his size...pathetic!) to save his life...I believe he had a foul...and missed an easy shot. He actually hurt the team by being in there, and most certainly did not provide any value at all. He has the size, but cannot play ball at this level at all...

REALLY enjoyed that game last night! To respond to a few posters, yes the Super Pit is an awesome venue, and yes that referee was crazy! We had some JS fans sitting in front of us and they were yelling "HOME COOKING" all night. There was onr foul in particular last night where the JS player was not 2 front from the NT player. Anyway, we one and a win is a win... I am kind of curious, though. Seems like the pace of the game was pretty slow, and I would of thought JJ would have picked it up some. JS sure did like to play street-ball, though. Hopefully playing a team like that will give us some experience with the physical play. Again, had a GREAT time last night!

I am looking forward to Saturday's game...it is not everyday that you get to experience the greatness that is NT Football...worst football team in America, nay, the WORLD!!!

So...who were we looking at in that video??? It always helps when they highlight who the person is...
