Yeah...had the worst game of any NT player by far...he just seemed to be struggling mightily out there. And, yes, the pursuit angles were bad. What are our other options there?

Yeah, and like Danny Kanell said "I have heard of a "utility guy" in baseball...but not in college football". I mean...what does that mean exactly? I think he touched the ball, what, once in the Clemson game? He game in as a highly touted recruit. If he is so talented...does 1-2 touches a game suffice? I don't know, maybe he is too banged up to help us much...

Very well-written article. I must say, though, that TD either has excellent intestinal fortitude or huge balls of steel to not be troubled at all by this season. Or, rather, the ramifications of not producing a winning season!

I believe Zach Olen has been named the starter...recall reading that somewhere a few days ago. The reality is that we will most likely see Jose Serrano as well, though...

I agree, that as long as TD and company can show a definable level of improvement this season then he should be allowed to keep his job. I believe this would require AT LEAST 1 OOC wins this year (read: Army, Rice) if not 2, and a winning record in the SBC. There are 12 games this season...4 OOC and 8 SBC games. So, we should be able to win 4 SBC games...with the 1 OOC win we would have a 5-7 record. That seems VERY reasonable after several season on the job. If he cannot get to at least a 5-7 season then he should not stay. I mean, come on, at this point is anything less really acceptable???

Will be in Myrtle Beach with the family (assuming Hurricane Earl does not have something to say about that of course). I know...I am a bad UNT fan...family comes first? BUT...already bought my tickets for the Army game...going up with my brother (UNT Grad as well) who lives in MD...

OMG...if you can GUARANTEE a tailgate spread like that, then I am flying up from NC for EVERY game!!!

I used to work for the Athletic Department, and I was responsible for putting out the banners around the bottom rim of Fouts and managed the student volunteers who handed out the programs. After the banners were up and all the programs handed out I went up to the press box to settle in for the game. We always had BBQ from Colters...and it was always good. BBQ and NT football...is there anything better??? Smash: The nasty and filthy belly of Fouts Field! Those banners were kept beneath the stands...and the smell never got better over the years. Souvenir: The reliefs outside the I-35 side of the stadium. I think these are extremely unique and hope they get incorporated into our new home somehow. Oh, and all of the memories...especially the Navy game (what an amazing fly-over that was!)

I know most people will say JIMMY CRACKED CORN!!! here (and, frankly, I do not blame them)...but it does not look like Giovanni Vizza is playing at Texas A&M. Anyone know what happened to him?
