No offense, but "character" may not matter if we do not win games! WINNING has become the most important thing for us at NT...WINNING is PARAMOUNT!!!

My brother and I went to the Army game...and had a long conversation with Coach Canales before the game. What a great guy...really enjoyed meeting and chatting with him. He started telling us a story, then was interrupted by an Army official. We walked off but he called us back over to "finish the story" as he put it. I get a good vibe from him...

BTW...talk about some "home brewin'"! How do you catch a TD pass OUT OF BOUNDS??!!?? And that was not the only questionable call during that game...

I think based on all we have been told, and all that we know thus far...it will be Jeff Bower. If you think about it he does appear to at least be a good fit for NT, so that may not be a bad choice. Interesting, someone had mentioned Frank Solich...that might be very interesting...

I totally respect RV for handling this situation this week rather than letting it drag on the rest of the season...

I know his record as a HC barely hovers around .500...but he has coached at Tulsa and I believe he does have Texas ties. What about him...any thoughts?? He also coached at UNT as well...

Kind of sick of hearing what a respectable guy TD is...if he was so honorable then he would quit today or on Monday.

If this team gets 5...heck, 4...wins this season I say give them all raises and 10 year extensions...

We do not have to debate whether this coaching staff is a failure or not...the scoreboard does that for us. We either have more points than the other team at the end of the game...or we don't. Period. At this point (4 years into a HC's career) success or Failure is predicated on the W-L record. Further, RV has already set the mandate...either win 7 or go home. Yes, one could argue that the injuries have not created a "fair" situation. But, like my momma always said, life is not always fair.

Same thing happened at Army. I was at the game, and when you see it in person you realize that it is most definitely due to incompetence. The coaches just look befuddled. I mean, I was screaming for them to call a frickin' timeout...and they did...15 seconds too late...

Well, frankly, does not seem like he has to worry about that after this season...
