True points but has to be said we were at the near bottom of D-1 budgets, facilities... admin deserves some blame as well. You get what you pay for.

Really good take on Coach Galen Scott and the linebackers. To me this is the most critical area for North Texas heading into this season. -
Agree it could vary quite a bit depending on how we start.

Mason Fine, North Texas Fine, the two-time Conference USA Player of the Year, is a remarkable passing talent. He has been consistent each of the last two seasons, averaging 29 touchdown passes. The Mean Green have become a C-USA contender as a result, and Fine will try to get them back to the C-USA championship game this season. Honestly, it’s going to depend on how they do in the 1st 4 games. They are at OU, host Prairie View, Washington State (nrg) and on the road against Tulane. I mean they could honestly be 4-0 or 1-3 or anything in between... if they play well or beat OU we could see a huge UH contingent. If they lose 3 games prior to ours (Pirate is tough as is Fritz and Tulane roadie) it could be an SMU type contingent.

Spencer Leftwich Lake Dallas HS Assistant. Matt Simon was OC at Delaware but just got canned after 2018 season.

You’re right — I should be shot for not mentioning Booger. Damn you to hell for pointing that out.

Love his size! -
One other factor to consider when comparing Fine to the others is his quick release and touch in the deep ball. He gets rid of the ball so quickly and seems to hit receivers in stride. He has an amazing touch on his ball. He’s the best we’ve ever had without a doubt.

A school-record seven North Texas teams earned a perfect score for the 2017-18 academic year, according to the Academic Progress Rate report released by the NCAA Wednesday. Since the NCAA began reporting APR data in 2005, North Texas has never more than six teams with a perfect score in one academic year. Posting a perfect 1,000 for the 2017-18 season were men's golf, women's golf, men's cross country, women's basketball, swimming & diving, tennis and volleyball. For men's and women's golf, women's basketball, and tennis, this was the seconded year in a row to report a perfect single-year score. Of the 14 teams sponsored by North Texas, 12 improved their single-year score from the previous year. "I'm very proud of our student-athletes for their many records and achievements this year," Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker said. "We take the greatest pride in their academic success which is reflective of the dedication of our student-athletes, coaches and academic staff. Collectively with the support of our donors and fans, we will continue to build champions and prepare leaders." In the multiyear APR data, eight UNT teams maintained or improved their score from last year's report. The multiyear scores cover a four-year period beginning in the 2014-15 academic year and ending in 2017-18. The NCAA mandates a four-year aggregate score of 900 as acceptable for each sport. The Mean Green tennis team has maintained a perfect 1,000 multiyear score to lead the way, and earn public recognition by the NCAA for being in the top-10 percent nationally. Breaking News UNT land Huge grad transfer

Geu and his NDSU squad made it to the NCAA tourney this past season by winning their Summit conference tourney. They were beaten handily by Duke but Geu scored 6 points and had 3 boards in the game. Perhaps he can help us get to the tourney again this season.
