  1. Article link: https://www.nwahomepage.com/pig-trail-nation/hog-recruiting/hoop-hogs-notebook-kyree-walker-and-jaire-grayer-visit-updates-new-transfer-visitor-more/2002329527 * Jacksonville sophomore-transfer Janaud "JD" Notae (6-2 guard, Jacksonville) confirmed he is at Arkansas today and Wednesday for a visit. Notae averaged 15.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.6 steals in 31.4 minutes while shooting 42.7% field goals (including 32.0% from 3) plus 73.0% free throws through 32 games in 2018-19. A source said Notae had drawn interest from Nevada when Head Hog Eric Musselman was still at the helm of the Wolf Pack's program. Notae was named second-team All ASUN as a sophomore at Jacksonville, which finished 12-20 overall and competed against league member Stetson, where Arkansas assistant coach Corey Williams was head coach the previous six seasons. Notae said he's visited North Carolina-Greensoboro and is also considering Buffalo in addition to the Hogs. As far as making a decision on a school, Notae said he has "no time frame." Notae reportedly has also drawn interest from Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, Iowa State, Western Kentucky, Creighton, Colorado State, Bradley, Toledo, Middle Tennessee, UAB, and North Texas. Notae will have two years to play two after a redshirt season in '19-20. Linked is an extended highlight reel of Notae from last season at Jacksonville ...
  2. We had two separate sources confirm to Go Pokes that recent transfer portal entrant Ryan Woolridge of North Texas is considering Oklahoma State and the Cowboys are interested as well. 3. Really interesting article on K-State and their challenges in recruiting. I can see some similarities. Their coach does not rely on recruiting services and when it comes time to offer a recruit he always does it himself. ----------------------------------- Close to home How concerned should K-State fans be with the Wildcats’ lack of in-state recruiting dominance? For now, it’s hard to say. But it’s been a while since K-State owned its home state. The Wildcats haven’t signed the top-rated Kansas recruit since Nick Patton in 2004, and it’s been at least a decade since they landed more than five in-state players in the same recruiting cycle. Changing things will be a challenge, because there’s more competition than ever. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State treat Wichita as a valuable area. Clemson, West Virginia and Iowa State have recruiting ties across the state, and other power-conference teams are always looking. The state’s top-rated football prospect hasn’t stayed home since 2006. In other words, Klieman didn’t inherit a turn-key operation. read more: https://www.kansas.com/sports/college/big-12/kansas-state/article230382214.html Read more here: https://www.kansas.com/sports/college/big-12/kansas-state/article230382214.html#storylink=cpy
  4. Three-star 2020 Steele High (TX) Daniel Jackson picked up an offer from USC on Tuesday. 5. Wren Baker Baker was hired by the University of North Texas as vice president and athletics director in July 2016. Before that, he served as deputy athletics director of external affairs from 2013-15 as well as deputy athletics director at Missouri beginning in 2015. During his time in Memphis, Baker helped the Tigers secure the largest gift in the university's history, finished with a record fundraising year, and set a new mark for suite sales and multimedia rights revenue. Since Baker's hiring, the North Texas football team has reached a bowl game in all but one season. 6. Eldridge, a 2019 prospect who will join the program this summer, is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound outside linebacker from Kilgore Junior College. The native of Denton, Texas has three years of eligibility remaining after playing just one year at Kilgore. In addition to Tech, his only other offer was from offer from North Texas. But while he is a rather under-the-radar prospect, in his senior season at Denton Ryan High School, he was extremely productive registering 183 tackles and four sacks while recovering three fumbles in 2018. 7. Likely due to the new staff coming in and going in a new direction.
  8. “Bowen initially signed a five-year contract that included an annual salary of $400,000. He then agreed to a two-year extension in 2015 that did not alter the financial terms of the original agreement.” so question is how much we paying Wren and would he be willing to take more money to move up to AAC gig? Or would he prefer to make his next move to p5...
  9. Too early to tell. I read that they recently hired a new deputy AD which it would seem they could use as a replacement. Let's hope so. Wren worked at Memphis and is highly thought of by them.

  12. Bowen departs from U of M athletic director post "Tom and I have agreed to extend the existing terms of his contract through the end of the calendar year until our new (American Athletic Conference) media rights deal is finalized and the overall financial picture of the University of Memphis Athletic Department for the next several years is clear," Rudd said in a statement at the time of the extension. In another recent athletic administration shuffling, the university announced April 17 that it had hired Jeff Crane as the new deputy athletic director. Crane, who was executive associate athletic director at South Carolina, replaced Mark Alnutt, who became athletic director at the University of Buffalo in March 2018. read more: https://dailymemphian.com/section/sportsmemphis-tigers/article/5050/Bowen-departs-from-U-of-M-athletic-director-post
  13. They are also hamstrung because they can’t sign jucos.
  14. It’s sad how many of their players have transferred to other schools. This massive player transferring can really hurt programs.
  15. 6-2, 182 Holding a Houston offer and UL, Texas State...NMSU — good size. https://247sports.com/player/jevaun-dabon-46080753/
  16. Offers from La Tech Arky State and Memphis https://247sports.com/player/brandon-thomas-46081106/ Seeing Coach Adrian Mayes name a lot on the recruiting trail. Guy seems to be a go getter. Let’s hope he is also a closer! I apologize in advance if this profile was already posted. I may have missed - if so I will merge.
  17. The only home p5 opponents I see in the UNT futures schedules which go through 2029! is Cal in 2022, Texas Tech in 2027 and Baylor in 2029. Certainly there can be some changes that transpired but this is interesting to look at again. Looking forward to playing at A&Ms new stadium and also getting to play Tulane and Army. Is it safe to say that the Texas Tech home game at Apogee in 2027 will be the highest attended game in program history? Wow can only imagine the atmosphere for that one.. https://fbschedules.com/ncaa/north-texas/
  18. Ejiya seems like he found a good spot.
