San Diego is amazing. Location alone is an attraction for the school. Expensive place to actually live tho.

Current count of commits by position. What do we need next?
Harry replied to Harry's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I agree we could probably differentiate NT and end. Demeco Roland was the guy we recruited at DT and he ended up at JC. -
10 UNT Commits as of 6-6-19 QB: 1 Kade Renfro RB: 1 Isaiah Johnson WR: 1 Loronzo Thompson TE: 1 Christian Lee OL: 4 Erik Williams, Dane Jackson, Kade Bond, Jett Duncan DL: 1 Jamal Ligon LB: 0 DB: 1 Jason Kerl Jr. ATH: 0 ST: 0 With the exception of the OL, pretty spread out. Assuming we have another 12 to give, where do they go for 2020 class? 3 WR, 2 DB, 2 DL, 2 LB, 1 ATH, 1 TE, 1 Wildcard?

I am so pleased that our AD had the foresight to make this campaign happen and early to boot. He may never get the award, even though he is certainly deserving, but the story will be told and will get eyes because of the Heisman mystique. As I have said all along, it's not just Mason's performance and stats which have been top notch. It's his STORY... It's an amazing underdog story that makes people feel good. Yes even the greedy NCAA would shed a tear of blood over it. This is how you do it. Mason Fine is a once in a lifetime story that we may never have again many of our UNT lifetimes. There aren't many Mean Joe Greene's, and Booger Kennedy's and Mason Fine opportunities and you have to make the most of them. This program has always had such amazing potential and it is so nice to finally see us reaching it.

So does this help our guard oriented smaller team? Or is it better for the more physical bigger P5 teams? There had to be an angle for this...

I think we had some like say a Jamario but I’m not sure that the rankings have always been there as they are now. -
I’m betting so.

Something I’ve noticed about this class
Harry replied to emmitt01's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I think they are doing a great job and their momentum seems to be building for sure. ALSO - welcome to the site! -
No cause the whole time they will be pushing us to add them in football and that just is not going to work. I agree they have a decent basketball program though and would probably help our RPI. But I see no reason to get their hopes up for FB by adding them.

Hope so. He looked overwhelmed last season. Of course he didn’t get many minutes either.

‘20 Ath Ja'Quinden Jackson - Duncanville
Harry replied to 97and03's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I think his reasoning is the more kids that stay in state the better for us.
