Looks like Sow didn’t make. Damn shame. We really could have used him.

👀 No in fact, you are absolutely not overrating them. The problem with both SMU and Houston is both have added a ton of immediately eligible p5 transfers at many key positions. SMU did this last year as well but it took their transfers a few games to fully grasp the system etc. An example of this is linebacker Richard Moore a transfer from A&M who had 9 tackles in our game last season as a junior. He's going to be a better player this time around. At QB they have UT transfer Shane Buchele who is a heck of a player for them to land. He started at Texas until Erlingher took control. They are a completely different team with all of these transfers and we NEVER play well on the Hilltop. Another factor to consider is how SMU fares the week prior in a roadie against Arky State. Arky State is a 3-point favorite on the Vegas line right now and I think if SMU loses to them they could be pretty down...

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Former University of Texas at Arlington golf coach Stuart Deane was found responsible for sexual harassment through inappropriate comments to some of his female athletes, according to a Title IX investigation. Deane resigned as the university's golf director before the investigation was completed in October, according to documents obtained by the school newspaper, The Shorthorn. He was placed on administrative leave last August, a day after a former player emailed the university president detailing some allegations. read more: https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/27244429/ex-arlington-coach-cited-sexual-harassment

BleedTechBlue.com caught up with North Texas beat writer Brett Vito of the Denton Record-Chronicle to preview the 2019 North Texas Mean Green. Seth Littrell is entering his fourth season in Denton and has certainly put the program back on the map. That said, the Mean Green fell short of expectations a year ago. Is 2019 a year in which Littrell needs to get his team at least to the conference championship for it to be considered a success? I don’t think it’s nearly that simple. UNT has three bowl wins in its entire history and hasn’t won 10 games in a season without the benefit of a forfeit since 1947. There are also huge opportunity games out there in nonconference play for UNT against Cal and Houston. What if UNT beats Houston, gaining a ton of publicity for the program in the process, slips up in a game in C-USA play that prevents the Mean Green from winning the conference title and rebounds to win a bowl game? A 10-win season with a bowl win could be considered a success even if UNT doesn’t win the C-USA title. With OC Graham Harrell moving on to USC in the off-season, is there a concern within the program that the offense could take a step back? I don’t sense that concern at all. Head coach Seth Littrell has always been highly involved in UNT’s offense and planned to be even more involved this year, regardless of who the offensive coordinator is. Harrell did a great job at UNT and melded his offense with Littrell’s. UNT changed one part of that equation when it added Bodie Reeder, who spent last season as the offensive coordinator at Eastern Washington. Reeder’s approach more closely mirrors what Littrell wants to do in terms of playing at a faster pace and making tight ends a more prominent part of the scheme. UNT has a lot of talent returning and has C-USA’s best quarterback in Mason Fine. There is more curiosity about what UNT’s offense will look like than concern that the Mean Green will take a step back. read more: https://latech.rivals.com/news/know-the-opponent-north-texas

Miners adding two JUCO quarterbacks to shore up position
Harry posted a topic in Mean Green Football
UTEP football will bring in two additional junior college quarterbacks to shore up the position after uncertainty surrounding incumbent Kai Locksley. The Miners have added New Mexico Military Institute quarterback Gavin Hardison – who will have four years to play three seasons – and Cerritos (CA) quarterback Isaiah Bravo. “They’ve been here competing during the summer, and both of those guys could challenge for playing time this year,” Dimel said. Hardison finished No. 2 nationally with 5,347 passing yards at Hobbs High School in New Mexico. He completed 68.6 percent of his passes and threw 59 touchdowns to just nine interceptions as a senior. Hardison was one of just three players to throw for more than 5,000 yards in 2017. read more: https://www.texasfootball.com/amp/article/2019/07/22/utep-football-miners-adding-two-juco-quarterbacks-to-shore-up-position?ref=article_preview_img&ref=article_preview_img&__twitter_impression=true -

SMU vs North Texas 2018 Video Highlights
Harry replied to Coach Andy Mac's topic in Mean Green Football
This is a totally different SMU team than what we faced last year. They have dramatically improved their QB position with Buchelle. Color me worried about this game especially on the Hilltop.
