  2. Not to be Debbie Downer, but it is tougher for a big guy to bounce right back after being out of conditioning etc for that period of time. I hope and pray that he will get back to himself quickly. If anyone can pull it off it would be Bryce.
  3. Interesting side note, to my understanding there were exactly 17 donor suites (out of 21 total) in Apogee stadium.
  4. What can he do. This leader in NK is pushing the limits unlike ever seen before. And sanctions never seem to work. I was thinking the other night, I wish there was some type of bunker or way to evacuate out of South Korea because that is the main leverage NK has over us. A lot of innocent people in South Korea would lose their life over this which is a damn shame. I also feel bad for the people of NK as they are just pawns in this deal.
  5. http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/college_sports/utsa/article/DE-Solomon-Wise-injures-knee-out-for-season-11742341.php UTSA’s defense suffered a blow over the weekend when defensive end Solomon Wise suffered a season-ending knee injury. Head coach Frank Wilson said the injury occurred during Saturday’s workouts. “He jumped and just hyper-extended his knee,” Wilson said following Tuesday’s practice at the school. “He will be out for the season.”

  7. It's that time of year. It's neat when these are given out every year and I know that this years recipients will be worthy.
  8. The top two mentions are Darden and White. "In the first week, freshmen wide receivers Jaelon Darden (Houston) and Greg White (Riverdale, Georgia) have been impressive at times, participating in their first camp. On Monday, the two were back to making plays. • White, a 6-foot-3 outside receiver, made a couple deep downfield catches Monday, each time going up to high-point the ball to secure the catch. • Darden, a 5-foot-9 slot receiver, was targeted heavily on the day, and hauled in a couple of touchdown catches during red zone drills."
  9. Yeah I caught that as well. He has two guys in his mind right now with Fine being the main guy. Just gotta hope Fine can stay healthy.
  10. Here's an article from what I believe would have been his freshman year at Navarro. Best I can tell, he may have signed with Angelo State initially (in 2014) and redshirted and then made the transfer switch into Navarro in 2015-16. This article is from 2015 at Navarro: http://www.navarrocollege.edu/athletics/2015/10/11/isadore-bulldogs-pull-neo-miracle-win-at-homecoming-46-41/ Navarro is a competitive juco program and in a tough league. For him to have this level of success in his first year there is pretty impressive. If he indeed redshirted, I would suppose he has two years to play two here at UNT unless he got a medical waiver.
  11. Agreed - this is a very good deal. I comment the AD for putting this program together. Smart move.
  12. Dude we are the same person! I've been saying the same thing on here only to be called chicken little!
  13. Urban Meyer does a program where freshman wear a black strip on their helmet. It is removed once they prove themselves worthy on the field. Obviously they can share some of these moments with the fans on social media which is neat. im not saying we copy the exact program but it would be nice to incorporate something similar. Seems like it would be a good motivator. Thoughts?
  14. I didn't but I wanted too. I couldn't stay for the entire scrimmage and there is a lot to soak in at one time. If anyone else did would be interested to hear about him and anyone else.
  15. Could have sold those pitchforks at a good price at the Portland State game a couple years ago. Just sayin.
  16. Marshall (Texas) 2018 three-star offensive lineman Kameron King committed Saturday evening to North Texas. King told Scout why he chose the Mean Green. "I loved the atmosphere of the school the day I was there," King said. "They made me feel at home. But the main factor is how hard they coached off the bat. "I visited the school a little while back. It was an exciting feeling. Players were telling me about the experience there and it just made me feel like this is the place for me The 6-foot-2, 275-pound King picked North Texas over the other four programs that made his top five: Memphis, Southern Miss, Tulane, and ULM. read more: http://scout.com/college/football/recruiting/Article/3-Star-Lineman-Kameron-King-Talks-Decision-to-Commit-to-North-Te-105826760
  17. Beating out other conference teams - solid conference teams -is a very good sign.
  18. Wow man great catch. I had forgotten about that. Koons is looking like a great hire. BTW - it looks like Nate Brown was responsible for the big lineman we landed tonight. We have to start rewarding these assistants who are landing these Key commits. Recruiting is picking up folks!!
  19. I hear you but I want to be clear that my comments on Isadore are coming from his being a non factor this spring and from me not expecting much out of him this Fall. Today changed that - I think he's come a long way from his injury and what he looked like in the spring. I still see Fine as #1. I now think that Isadore could be a legitimate part of conversation behind Fine. My hope is we will take care of business against Lamar and give some other QB's behind Fine a chance to play. Right now there is a battle for who gets that chance. If Isadore proves worthy he has a shot. Unless Pearson just jumps out like Fine did last Fall I think you would want him to redshirt. To me the battle is now between Shanbour and Isadore for those 2nd team reps. Isadore will not beat Shanbour on knowledge of the offense and playbook. Shanbour is like a coach on the field. He will have to do it on his plays and reads on the field.
  20. You really need to redshirt every single one of your oline men and we haven't been able to do that. Guys like Jordan Murray would have benefitted so much from a redshirt year but Mac left such a damn mess we had to play him right away. So if we intend to move our program to the next level we need to load up on quality o-linemen until we have a good base to work from. I commend the staff for realizing this and implementing the plan.
  21. You can read a lot into these reports because they reflect what the coaches want to convey to the fans. On the other hand they can use them to motivate player who they want to see more out of.
  22. Agreed you just can't have enough of them. Attrition is higher and you need quality depth.
