If he is hurt and I think you're right he is -- I can't wait to see what he can do when he is healthy. There were a couple of edge rushes he had, one was a sack, where he just flat bull rushed and dominated the left tackle for UAB. Dude is a beast and really elevates the play when he is out there.

...in a key point in the game like last night we seriously either need to come up with different play calling or get our asses out on the practice field and start running the goalline drills until we can. I had no problem with the play call but dammit we need to get the job done. I am very happy with the win but that was a key moment in the game that we may face again against a better opponent (ala UTSA or Tech). If they load the box then let Fine call out of it. Need to get that stuff figured out real quick or it is going to come back and bite us! GMG

Creighton Barr my adopted player had a tough night as far as I can tell from the coaches standpoint. Looks like he started and then got replaced in the 2nd half by Mose. On the plays I watched him he looked good, got good leverage and seemed to be dominating in most of the blocks he was involved in. He had a couple of issues but not enough for him to be pulled in my opinion. It may be they are just trying to develop depth there.

That makes two of us.

Enjoyed it. Agreed - it's nice not having to do the moral victory thing again.

EJ Ejiya was a stud last night leading the team with 9 tackles. Khari Muhammed stepped up big again with 8 (3 solo). McClain and Wheeler had 7 and 6 respectively. this was not a great defensive effort primarily due to poor pass coverage. However there are still some good defensive playmakers emerging which is positive. i have to mention Brandon Garner who had 5 stops and 2 for a loss.
