@PlummMeanGreen good to get these recollections of the inner working of these decisions like the move down to IAA which have had such dramatic influence on our future. We just do not have accurate reporting of this information and it is important historical insight for future generations to ponder.

I realize they are trying to work in other sports but the UTSA and Army game were the most exciting games we have had by far and for a long time!

The lessons I learned growing up are that you've got to have that chip on your shoulder. Every play, you can't take it for granted. You have to go hard and be that player that the coaches see that hey this kid he wants to be out there. "That's what I kind of did in high school. I had to prove myself that I wanted to be on varsity, and be a player that makes plays. That kind of carried over to my college career."
