If you are going to do a sandwich in Houston it has to be Antone's!

LeBlanc is my pick. Watch his films. Just impressive speed and hands and plays at a high mev of comp.

I disagree. Look at the draft every year. There are high level picks from small schools every year. If they have the ability size and speed the teams will find them anymore.

DRC: Three reasons UNT could be worse in 2018

Don’t underestimate La. Tech as they spanked SMU and always recruit good talent. I think they will be back with a more experienced QB. -
No doubt they are clearly the best conference. There is no disputing it. But they also have the biggest budgets and best coaches support facilities. I don’t like that college football has become 7-10 programs who fight for the jewelry every year. It was better when a say BYU or lower level team had a chance to be the Cinderella story. I feel like college football needs that and the 4-Team playoff doesn’t get you there.

Good thoughts. I guess what stings is how quickly Kiffin was able to raise the level of recruiting at FAU.

Good to hear from you. Miss having you at games. What do you guys do with your free non North Texas time these days? Hopefully something fun. -
It wasn’t all Dodges fault. We hired Dodge because we were woefully underpaying for the head coach and assistant positions. We could have mandated that we wanted him to hire high level assistants but we didn’t because we knew we could pay high school assistants less. I know for a fact that Dodge wanted to retain some of the assistants but he wasn’t allowed to. There was a desire to clean out any remnants of the Dickey era. The biggest problem Dodge had was just a complete naivety about coaching at the college level. It became an us (high school coaches) against to the world type of mentality. And as fans we had to buy into it because it was all we had. Buy the time he adjusted and brought in a few college assistants we were getting mostly bottom feeder career journeyman types.

Researchers in the University of North Texas College of Engineering’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering have found a way to create an ultralight, highly heat-resistant, magnesium-based material by engineering bonds at an atomic level. Their research has been published in the “Nature Communications” journal. View Full Article

Hey - let's give the staff credit for getting on this kid. They got close. Apparently Vandy saw his commit and changed their slow-play strategy. Typically a school like Vandy is going to try and get high school players but times are a changing. Heck, even UT and Tom Herman signed a juco offensive lineman a couple of weeks ago and it was supposedly "critical" to their 2018 season prospects. I personally feel like the early bowl game was somewhat of a hindrance in terms of signing mid term jucos. Now we will have to take our chances on some difference makers who may not be here until the Fall. On English, I remain hopeful, but let's be honest, he hasn't played in a couple of years and will be at best rusty. Also we need a LOT more depth on defense, especially in the front seven and I haven't seen that we have done a lot in that particular regard.

Well that’s not a positive development. -
Have to figure out a way to win more of these close games. FT and bench play comes to mind.
